Glad to know I'm not the only one experiencing lag. I just bought a new video card for god's sake.

I've recently started playing WoW again and am looking for a good guild/group to play with - any suggestions helpful. I can be on a fair amount during the week and nearly any weekend at this point. Please let me know.

Started my warlocks epic mount quest!! woohoo!

I ground out 80 gold in one day with several herb auctions that sold. I've spent 200g in the last 24 hours and am only 50g away from buying the last item. Another lock in my guild has the last 3 items to open the portal so that saves me 250g...thank god!

Love this game!

I'm in a great guild on the new anvilmar server. We're called Trinity. I'm a lvl 33 Mage named Creepio. Look me up if you want to join us. They will come to your aid if you need help. They have alts who are willing to make things for you. They are a great bunch of guys and I love working with them.

Got my epic mount! Woot! 375gold spent, 250gold saved by borrowing the summoning items from another lock in my guild.

Absolutely love the extra 40% speed! Money very well spent!

Its going to be interesting to see raids capped at 25 people.....wow. We did MC, Baron and Shaz (sp) last night with 1 wipe on Shaz but flawless the 2nd...stopped after that. 32 people total throughout.

Finally got my first part of the Felheart set

I just bought my level 40 mount (it will be nice not to run all the time) but where do I go for training?

I hit level 40 this weekend (and should get 41 tonight), but I only have 17 gold, so I'm FAR away from even training for my mount, much less buying one. I have a feeling I won't be there for a while. Guess I'm up for a lot more walking...

My main is a mage but i leveled up a protection spec warrior and got to main tank our guild Zul Gurub run last night since our usual main tank wasnt there. Pretty fun, i tanked the Bloodlord fine, died while tanking the snake when he got to 1% (so it wasnt a problem, guild killed him 2 seconds later) , tanked Gri'lek (the edge of madness boss) and also 3 attempts on the tiger boss. I was hoping the Bloodlords Defender sword would drop, but no luck.

There should've been another NPC near the mount vendor that trains you to ride.

What kind of mount. Usually there's someone right by the mount who can teach you to ride, but I think if you buy a horse in wetlands there's no one there to teach you--I think to Elwynn Forest for that mount.

again, because I'm so far away from being able to train, much less buy a mount, I'm not really thinking about what kind....

I am thinking of getting this game, but I have heard it is extremely time intensive..and if you take any time off..you are going to fall off.

Can I get the game, if I can only put 1-2 hours in every other day or so?

You could, but due to the addictive nature of the game, you'll probably end up spending more time than that. I've already quit and then signed up again 4 times now. This last time I quit will hopefully be final, since this game gave me a crippling case of carpel tunnel.

Well, most of the really valuable stuff you can get is generally bound to your character. So if you did sell something on ebay, it'd be your whole account, not individual stuff. BUT, it will be a LONG time before you get anything valuable to make money on ebay, especially playing only 1-2 hours, every other day.

Another thing to consider, is that with only that small amount of time to play at once, is that you will have a hard time finishing any of the quests that go into dungeons. Those required you to find a group (which can take a while), and then the dungeon itself usually takes at least an hour or two, but can last much longer than that. That damn Gnomeregan dungeon takes about 4 hours start to finish, I think.

No, there's a ton of quests you can do without going into dungeons. Unfortunately, you get the best loot inside dungeons. You can get around that, though, by buying loot someone else got from a dungeon at the auction house.

I've rarely gone in dungeons since my first character got to 60. I just don't have the blocks of time to devote. Do I get as good stuff? Nope. Do I need as good stuff? Nope, because the stuff I'm killing is easier than the stuff in dungeons.

If I liked to PVP much, that would suck, but then you can always PVP with a lower character.

1-2 hours every other day or so describes my WoW play exactly.

95% of the time, I group up with 1 person (my dad, he's a big kid too). We don't do instances, although I suppose we could if we just monitored the 'looking for group' channel. We're just working our way through quests.

I currently play a level 36 Undead Rogue. My level 49 Dwarf Hunter is taking a long vacation in an inn somewhere. I mostly went solo with him, grouping occasionally.

As long as I feel like I'm enjoying my $15 per month, I'm happy. I've been playing for more than a year now.

Are accounts even valuable anymore, when I quit (back in Nov 05) it looked like decent accounts (lvl 60 plus 5-6 epics) were selling for around $100-$125.

You will. There's a lot of balancing in the game for casual players. For example, there is a "rested" feature that means when you're rested, you get 200% experience for killing monsters. You rest by not playing the game. And the more rested you are, the longer you get the 200% XP.

The other posters are correct in that a casual player won't be getting epic gear, get into raids, etc. but I can't imagine a casual player would have that interest anyway.

I usually play 1.5-2 hours a night and more on weekends, BTW.

-jason

(oh, superdeluxe, if you're interested in a 10-day free trial to see if you're interested, let me know.)
