The good: For a while everything was looking great, I had a chance to do some world pvp, and I got into AB group #43! yes, 43 different groups. I am so looking forward to pulling together a 15 man with our "Marshal" group, and just roll thru the competition. I'm also looking forward to some real challenges. The big horde guilds left our server once server transfers were enabled, and It's been decidedly alliance dominated since then.

The Bad: The usual patch day shenannigans. Servers went down early, stayed down an extra 3 hours, then shut down again after 8 hours. We weren't able to run AQ cause nobody in Kalimdor could enter an instance.

As I said, I won't hold it against you.

But grinding a Horde druid to 60 on a PVP server has instilled a deep-seated hatred for the Alliance, especially those Shadowmelding Night Elves

And my Undead Priest is kind of sexy, if you are into that sort of thing.

I can't stand horde mainly for the cities. I wish I had tried them first so it wouldn't bother me as much. I just never make it above 10-12 as horde.

Our guild had its first molten core run a couple weeks ago. With 27 we took down Lucifron on the 2nd try. Only had 2 real shots at Mags and only got him to 40% with 30 people, but next time we will get him. lots of fun

mags is easy when all the hunters have tranq. shot. Ranged and healer can just stand at max range and avoid all the fear. The main tank needs a little bit of FR, and either needs to learn the stance dance, or have 2 dwarf priest to cast ez-mode.. i mean fear ward on the MT

I have been at 60 for awhile now and am quite perplexed at what i should be spending my time doing. Either raiding, pvp ing, or getting rep???

Heartagram - 60 - Gnome Warlock, on Darkiron.

havent followed this thread at all so im not sure if anyone else is on Darkiron, if you are feel free to send a tell.

Since I don't like doing any of those things, I usually just start playing an alt (PVP is okay, but since I don't like raiding or getting rep, at level 60 I am at somewhat of a disadvantage, so I use my alts for that too). When I do play my 60's it's usually to help my alts get a pattern or some stuff they need for trade skills. Most people in my guild do all the things you mentioned but to me it seems like more of a job than fun.

I was a 60 in a small guild for a while and didnt have much to do. I found a guild that raids at the time i can and have been having a blast learning the raid instances. Zul Gurub is a lot of fun

Last night we hit Molten Core with 31-33 people. Our first time fighting Gehannas and we took him down. i dont even think anyone died. Garr took 2 attempts. our main tank picked up the Garr half of the Thunderfury bindings. crazy that they dropped on the first kill. We then took out a couple lava packs and fought the Baron twice but didnt kill him. I got my tier 1 boots (might).

The hardest part about the baron is getting people to run out of the raid when they are the bomb. We can always one-shot the baron, unless someone does that. Then it's usually a wipe. Our guild is up to Majordomo now in MC, but having troubles getting him down. We've also gotten to the point where we can clear ZG (minus Jin'do and the Edge of Madness boss) in about 4 1/2 hours, which is a total blast.

For 60's it's basically PvP, rep grinding and raiding. The only rep I'm grinding is Frostwolf, cause I want the wolf mount. After that, I'm not really going to bother with PvP, since it will all be reset when the expansion comes out. Luckily, I'm available for a lot of our raid nights, so that keeps me busy. Still, can't wait for the expansion and all the new content.

Yeah, we had a couple people not paying attention and blowing up significant parts of the raid during Geddon (like all the tanks or half the healers).
Im just trying to hit Rank 5 of PvP since a couple weeks ago i got within 1% of it.

http://www.wowmb.net/content/Dreadsteed.htm

Complete walkthrough. It starts when you hit 60 from your local warlock (demon pet) trainer in any major city.

This quest cost me 375 gold. I purchased everything from the AH except the potions, which I made as I am 300 herb / 300 alchemy.

This can be solo'ed until the last part, the actual quest.

The last 3 parts cost a total of 250 gold. But...they are re-usable, but not sharable. If you can find another warlock who has done this quest and purchased the 3 items they can come with you to Dire Maul West and summon the dreadsteed.

If you find another warlock friend who has the last 3 items these are the things you DON'T need to purchase:

J'eevee's Jar 150g
Black Lodestone 50g
Zorothian Glyphs 50g

You can do the Jaedanar part alone but the run to the alchemy lab in Scholomance is not soloable...need a party of 5. When you walk in the lab is to the right.

PS: Kill Raz Frostwhisper...just in case...I had Allana's Embrace robes drop on a run over the weekend My 5th epic piece!

The end fight is great with 2 warlocks. Read the walkthrough and have some fun!

Good luck!

Not sure if this has been mentioned or not... I noticed at best buy, they had a bunch of 14-day trial DVDs for $1.99. If I were still playing the game, I'd pick one up, just to have the installer on DVD!

Thanks FiveO, this is going to suck balls as I'm on a new server and none of my friends are over lvl 40 as of yet, at least I'll have plenty of time to save more gold.

My warlock was my very first character so she had to earn her own money, couldn't get any from any other characters as my only other alt was a level 10 mage at the time.

I ground out about 15-20g per hour in Winterspring at 60...grinding Timbermaw reputation and killing owlbeasts. Herbs sell very well on my server and I remember making like 120g in 6 hours once selling herbs.

Be sure you're professions are money makers. If they're not...learn the money making ones...and after your epic quest you can always go back and re-learn the ones you really want to do.

Good luck...its a very fun quest (at the end).
