I keep thinking I want to replace the FMJ with a suppressor and try that out. The little I used a suppressor on other weapons, I just did not like the range and damage drop off..but it might be good on the FAL since the base damage is so high to start with.

On domination I have two classes I use. My team all has a speed class with LMG's...

Basically I have flak jacket, lightweight on the first perk...toughness on the second perk and tactical mask and endurance on the third...the weapon is a HAMR with FMJ and I have one flash bang.

All three of us switch to knives and push to B right away...skip our first flag and let one person on our team get it. We almost ALWAYS get to b first...we toss our flash bangs out at the same time..lay down on B and open fire with our 100 rounds in every direction. We always get B. Always. Many times I get 700-800 points in 10 seconds this way.

We then switch out to our other Domination class...that has a few less perks and tac insertion. This keeps us on B, and lets us dominate. We roll near a 2.75/1 win loss ratio, but since we started this strategy, we run about a 5/1 win loss ratio. It only fails when the other 3 members of our team (there are 3 of us that play all the time) are not helping at least keep A or C...
I'm using Target Finder, Supressor and Select Fire. I was having awesome success with that combo yesterday. 32-18 in my last match last night.

Why do you run with FMJ? It does not add damage other than through walls am I right?

As an aside, there is no "stopping power" this time around as far as I can tell. Does anyone else know of something like it?

Snipers are always partially behind cover and drop or move behind cover when you shoot them. I get at least 5 kills a match this way with fmj...another 2 or 3 kills on others who fall or run behind cover...

This. I love it on Nuketown where snipers will take up residence in the upstairs rooms on either side. I wait for them to pop out, start firing and track their direction as they try and use the wall for cover. I have FMJ's equipped in my two main classes for this reason.

On another subject, I got several "Waiting for Host" errors last night. Anyone else encounter this?

Is it my imagination or are there more than a few people running around with a handgun as their main weapon... and getting way more kills than me?

I have not seen that yet...in fact all handguns combined I have been killed only 19 times...

MP7 alone I have been killed 255 times...

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (November 2012)

I only use a handgun as my secondary weapon when I feel like using a sniper class. I get some surprisingly decent kills with it though.

Does anyone feel ghost has been really weakened too much? I understand that they don't want to have as much camping, but the fact that you have to move or else you show up on radar is absurd. I don't really snipe in this game that much, but if I find a good spot, and I go prone, I should not be showing up on UAVs. They already hurt it by separating it from cold blooded as it is.

Don't get me wrong, I still run with ghost because most of my classes are run and gun, but it just pisses me off that when I stop to shoot down a UAV, because I like to shoot down objects, half the time I end up getting shot because I show up on radar while searching in the sky for the damn things.

Ok, anyone else having the "Waiting for Host" error (PS3)? I tried to join games again today and can't (regardless of playlist). Goes through the motions of finding games (trying to join) and then nothing. Aggravating.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (November 2012)

I finally got the Skorpion and equipped it with Supressor and Target Finder. I'm having a bunch of success with this combo.

What exactly does Ghost do?

I think I found my first glitch --- during MP I called in a Care Package and a teammate literally took it from me in less than a second! Anyone else experience that?

Ghost means you will not show up on enemy UAV's as long as you are moving at a full walk or running....any time you stop you will show up..

as for the glitch..it is not a glitch, it is a dick move on their part...they have blackhat and they are taking your package before you get it. They need to fix this NOW. I understand being able to grab a care package on your team that is out in the open and about to be stolen, but they need to make the hacking slower because I am getting a bunch of assholes taking my package on my own team.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (November 2012)

also this sums up about 25% of my games

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=NH0GLReExI8

I get max bandwith at times with the black ops in game test (options then hit select/back button to see your bandwith...anything over 8000 and you are probably going to be host)..when I have max bandwith I get lag...when my kids are streaming in the other room I get perfect connection...this is because when you are host in black ops you get fucked....

After digging, I found the "blackhat" thing on Youtube. That is total BS. You should never be able to steal a teammates care package like that! I can't believe it's only happened once to me. I could see the entire game turning into that once this becomes common knowledge.

we had a match of Kill Confirmed that we were up about 60 to 40...and I was personally about 20-4...and these two dudes on our team kept stealing our care packages...we just left, and then reported them (what little that will do)

I am sure they will patch it...

(edit I guess they did say on twitter they are going to make it take longer to blackhat your teams care packages...so hell yes)

I'm sure this won't be the first of many exploited glitches. I do dig the function of the blackhat to steal and booby-trap the opponents care package from a distance. Pretty cool. I might have to try that out. I love the electric stick (or whatever it is) as my tactical though.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (November 2012)

I've had guys walk up and steal care packages while I'm in the process of re-rolling them...complete dick move.

I've had better luck with the Skorpion since I equipped it with a silencer and laser sight. The ROF is so high I don't even bother ADS unless there is quite a distance between us. I need to unlock extended mags for that thing though, because it eats through ammo.

Kind of wish I had unlocked the AN-94 instead of Ghost when I prestiged. That thing is a beast.

Yup, people are definitely care package assholes in this game. I'm standing right by the drop and I always see people running up to try and take my care package. Get your own care packages dickheads. I only try a reroll now when I'm completely alone.

I see a lot of people using the extended mag and scavenger with that skorpion...

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (November 2012)

I'm using the Skorpion and Scavenger, which helps as fast as that thing burns through ammo. I'm hoping to unlock FMJ's and the Target Finder Scope tonight. Not sure whether to go with something to stabilize the gun a little or go for the extended mag (mostly so I won't get killed changing mags, which happens a lot mid-firefight).

For all the bitching I did about this game early on, once I figured out the trick to it I'm absolutely raping. Just had a 42-6 round... something that I could have NEVER done in any other CoD!

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (November 2012)

I added FMJ and Long Barrel to my Skorpion last night. Went 23-6 with no help from care packages or any other "bonus". This is a pretty great round for me... I agree, this is the most balanced CoD game that I've experienced. It's hard to believe I'm usually tops or at the top of most matches when I was generally bottom of every single match in past iterations of this game.

I still have not spent a lot of time with SMG's..but I hear nothing but good things about them..

How are you guys using them in close fights? Are you hip firing them?

It's usually quick enough to snap thru the site... but hip fire when necessary. I almost always hip fired in MW3.

Once I prestiged the Skorpion last night I figured out why I didn't use it at first. I Got completely demolished the first few matches (10-24 in the first) before I unlocked the lazer and silencer. The recoil seems to be 100x harder to control without the silencer.

^^ That's why I prefer certain maps for certain loadouts. Slums and the Yacht are perfect for the Skorpion. I'll use the FAL for larger maps with more open areas.
