I switched to the semi-auto shotgun and that thing sucks. It's so hard to get one hit kills with it which is required to unlock camos. I really want to start unlocking diamond camos though, so I have been forcing myself to use other guns after unlocking all the camo for them.

I was worried about the hip fire adjustment post patch but I still managed to go 40-19 right afterwards.
I think the biggest difference for me playing better is that I start hip firing at a target and then bring up the sight to finish them off unless I'm right on top of them.

Microsoft has only sold 2M 360 units in the past seven years in Japan. Just like the original Xbox before it, Microsoft can't break into the Japanese market that is dominated by Nintendo and Sony. In Japan, since their respective launches, the PS3 has sold over 7M units whereas the Wii has sold over 12M.
In the US, we're in a complete opposite position where Microsoft has moved nearly double the 360 units than Sony has with their PS3.

Seems like it might have been a lag issue. I started doing pretty well again with the Remington.

Borderlands 2. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Far Cry 3. All various high-profile FPS that have come out within the past two-to-three months that have been available on multiple platforms. Hell, BO2 is available on the Wii U. Halo 4 was the only high profile FPS released in the past few months that was a console exclusive and the franchise doesn't hold weight in Japan as so few own Xbox consoles. I don't see why the Japanese (or anyone in this case) would purchase a second, or third, console just for a game that exists on a console they already own. Especially since Microsoft has all but pulled out of the Japanese market.

It sounds like you're trying to extrapolate a whole lot more from LosingMyMind's comment then he intended, which sounded to me like nothing more then it being a bummer that the 360 didn't do better in Japan.

I just don't see the "irony" in it. Everyone knew the 360 was DOA in Japan when they barely moved any units at launch. I wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft doesn't sell the next-generation of the Xbox in Japan as the Japanese market contains less than 2% of the existing Xbox customer market.

I don't find it particularly ironic, but I see what he's saying about the XBox being more known for FPS games in it's early years because of the entire Halo franchise, and the Japanese not giving a shit and leading to the failure you mentioned but recently taking an interest in COD. Seems like more a general musing about whether or not things would have been different if the Japanese were more interested in FPS games 6 years ago.

I unlocked the AN94 today and love it... Now I'm torn between prestiging and keeping it or the Skorpion.

No matter what gun or attachments you use, someone will say you are cheap for using it if you kill them. It has happened in every COD.

I've been sitting at 55 for a week or so now, can someone clearly explain the new Prestige ladder??
I know you don't lose everything like you did in prior CoD games, but I'm still a bit confused by it. Really, my main source of confusion is that you aren't supposed to lose your weapon level progress and unlocks. Does that mean, since you start over at level 1, you still have to "earn" them, but you don't have to use a token to unlock them and when you do "earn" them they are at the level you had them at???
Example: I have a maxed out FAL. If I prestige, I can't use it until I reach the normal level where I could use it, right? But, it will already be maxed out when I do get it???

Yeah you still have to wait until its unlocked but once it is you'll have all the attachments and stuff that you had before. And if you don't want to wait you get a permanent unlock token that you can use on the FAL.

I do like the way they are handling prestige this time around. I don't think I went past 2nd prestige in any of the other games, but I can see going way beyond that in this one as long as it hold my attention.

Yes, one perma unlock per prestige. Once you have your unlock token after prestiging, just go to the weapon / perk and press R1. doesn't matter if it is unlocked or not it will be unlocked forever.

I think I screwed up. I prestiged last night in a Nyquil haze. I got my "unlock token" and used it to select the "undo all 10 of your tokens" choice. I wasn't sure if that was just one of the options you get when you prestige AND you get to choose a weapon or perk to carry-over. Now I'm pretty sure I cannot carry over a weapon and I don't want to wait until level 55 again to get the AN-94.

You get two "Bonus" items. You get to pick either a refund of your tokens, a new create-a-class slot or a reset of all challenges and then you also get a permanent unlock token when you open create-a-class at level 4.

You still have an unlock token for an item in create-a-class.

Can I only select my weapon to carry over AFTER I unlock create-a-class by reaching level 4 again?

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (November 2012)
Just a note...
Don't choose anything that is around level 20 or less. You can get to level 20 in a few hours and in a way sort of waste your unlock token.
What you should do is look at your class...see what you use..is it Ghost? Is it primary gunfighter? The one thing you use on all your classes that is the highest level to get...that is what you want to spend your token on.
I spent my first token on Ghost. I spent my second token on the FAL (which I wish I had not) I think I am going to spend my third token on the SCAR-H or Black hat...
