If anyone cares, Newegg is offering an Xbox One AC: Unity bundle for $370 (which includes an extra controller I believe).

I'm biased since I only own the XBox One at the moment and probably won't buy a PS4 until later, but it's turned into a pretty well rounded console with Microsoft actually keeping their promises of adding simple things like external hard drives and all those media formats supported. Along with really good exclusives like Sunset Overdrive, Forza Horizon 2, and Halo to close out the year it's a pretty darn solid console right now after a year.
Wish the UI worked a little better, but i'm pretty happy.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I just think it's a bit more complicated than it seems on the surface. It's safe to assume that, after the flip flop, at least one of the major publishers said, "Whoa whoa whoa! You promised us all-digital licensing and a certain % of all used revenue. If you're doing disc-based authentication again, then we're starting over, pal."

Oh yeah, you're likely right, but the original method announced was a convoluted mess.

Just checked my NFL app. Does everyone get the Red Zone for free with that app? Because if so, I won't spend $40 on it next year.

Last night I ended up returning my white SO bundle to Wal Mart. Figured with all of the BF deals that are going to be out there, it didn't make sense paying the full price just to get the white one. I'm going to shoot for the Halo bundle at Wal Mart, but not sure if I can make it in the one hour window with dinner and everything else going on that day. I'm sure Amazon will also have a bundle as well, and no sales tax here should make up that difference.

Does anyone else use headphones regularly?
I'm finding that, when gameplay gets... busy/intense/whatever, the sound kind of cuts in and out a little bit. Sometimes, it's not a big deal. Sometimes, it gets so bad that the controller actually powers down for a second or two, before automatically reconnecting. It doesn't ALWAYS happen when the game is busy, but that's when it seems to be the most common.
Things worth mentioning:
- I'm sitting maybe 6 feet away from the console
- This happens with all three of my controllers (standard, Day One, and Titanfall), all of which have the latest firmware update installed.
- The headset adapter also has the latest firmware update.
- I'm using Xbox rechargeable battery packs
- I'm only using stereo headphones. No microphone. No 7.1 virtual surround. Nothing fancy.
I'm thinking I should just try a different headset adapter...
Has anyone else had the same issues?

i'm sitting watching ESPN now before the NFL game tonight. There's an XBox One commercial on for Halo. At the end of the commercial, my Xbox One just mysteriously turns on. Holy shit subliminal advertising!

Pretty much every game. Just played Wolfenstein tonight and it was mildly annoying. Never cut out completely. But I played CoD:AW last week, and it disconnected the controller a few times over about 10 hours of gameplay. If I don't use headphones, there's no problem with sound at all, and the controller never cuts out. I've definitely had it happen with Titanfall, Sunset Overdrive and more.
It's starting to get on my nerves a bit.

Anyone know if these bundle deals come with physical copies (complete with case) of the included games, and its not just some bullshit downloadable code?

Pretty sure all of them are download codes only. I know the AC and SO bundles are that way. Not sure about COD, but it's safe to assume so.
Yeah, this is what I'm leaning towards. The controller cut out again yesterday, but this time I wasn't even using headphones. Unfortunately, I can't remember if the adapter was still plugged into the controller or not... but the headphones were unplugged for sure. This is going to drive me crazy. I think I'll pick up a new adapter today and see if it helps. If it fixes the issue, then I'll try to send the other one to MS for repair.

It's a game. If you're planning to sell it, I understand. Go to Kohl's and get the $329 no frills system. Why a physical copy is important is this day and age baffles me, especially if it's of no extra cost. Steam folks have no problem with this system. I know the whole GameStop/eBay way of reselling games is a plus for some, but it just seems silly when a new system is what, $100 more than a decent 360.

People still like loaning games to friends and family members.
That being said, price rules. Whichever is cheaper gets the sale. If digital ever is cheap enough to offset resale value, I'll go digital.
Complaining about a freebie is silly though.

Exactly. I bought a AC:Unity download for $45 from a DVDTALKer. Sure it'll be cheaper a year from now, but I thought it was worth buying. I am sick of putting discs into systems unless I plan to sell them. I bought the Master Chief Collection digitally knowing I'd never sell it. I'm in the middle on this issue. If I know I'll be keeping a game for a while, I'll buy it digitally or wait until the price goes down to buy it that way. If it's a game that's fun but with not a lot of replay value, I'd be inclined to buy a physical copy.
