No way Halo 5 gets delayed. You can bet the bank that will be out by this time next year. Now the Halo 5 beta that is supposed to start in a couple weeks, that very well might be (and should be) delayed until they fix this shit.

If the Xbox is off it will only recognize one single command: "Xbox on."

So it will need to be on to control your home theater.

If you plug your cable box to your X1, your X1 needs to be on if you want to watch tv. There's no way to watch TV if your X1 is off.

There are really COMPLICATED ways to do what you are asking, so I won't go there. So my first answer is all you need.

Got my refurb today. Setting it up now. The controller's battery compartment has two positive connections on the same side, so I inserted the batteries as such. The controller did not work. Batteries must face opposite direction.

The very girthy Kinect cord is way too short to satisfy. Kinect is back in the box. Microsoft needs a solution for this.

Thanks. Yeah I saw the status site. I asked here because I didnt see any mention of it. I know some can get on but we cant even log in. It an attack on Live by some hacker group. Its been going on for weeks but they ramped it up a few days ago. They say they will be doing it during the holidays..

Have any of you guys upgraded your hard drives? I got a 1 Tb Toshiba for cheap, but I was thinking of going with a 2 Tb 7200 rpm internal drive in an enclosure. Anyone have experience with that? Or is there a external 7200/2 Tb option available?

Is there a decrease in loading and/or install times? If so is it worth it?

Just buy an external 2.5" 1 TB drive for like $50 and plug it in. You're good to go after that and will have nearly 1.5 TB in storage. It uses USB 3.0 and is faster than the internal drive apparently.

In conjunction, I suppose. It's just an alternative memory storage device (like how you can have games on the internal drive and a Memory stick simultaneously with a 360 -- just with a LOT more memory here). They ask you which you would like to use as your default drive. I use the external drive because it's bigger and faster, but I keep the stuff I downloaded onto the internal drive on that drive because why not?

I keep games on my 2TB external, and everything else goes on the 500GB internal. Loading time differences seem to be negligible. Even swapping the internal for an SSD... the tests online showed that it only shaved a few seconds off of the loading times.

Just remember, the external drive MUST be USB3.0.

Yeah, but mine is 2TB CAD, so it's actually about 5TB USD. Our TBs are doing much better than our dollar lately.
