Isn't the Titanfall bundle worse, considering it's a game many early adopters are actually going to buy on release?

While Microsoft says these bundles are for a "limited time only," I do believe all the XOs will be shipping with an included game moving forward. It's a great idea as it places the console at $439, only $40 more than the PS4. The remainder of the cost is justified with the attached game.

While Titanfall is a smart move as it's one of the most anticipated games of the year, it's still rated M which may be a deal breaker to some families and/or parents. Forza 5 is a logical choice as it's rated E and would still allow families to get the console and not worry about their little ones.

I'll assume the bundles will change over time based upon deals with publishers and holidays (maybe two games rather than one like past Xbox/360 bundles). I don't understand why they didn't do this at launch in the US like they did in other territories, but whatever.

Because they were over-confident and thought us Americans would eat up their new console at any price. Basically did exactly what Sony did with the PS3.

In their defense, when it comes to cross-platform software titles, the Xbox One is moving more "units" (both in retail and downloads) in North America than the PS4.

Just like last generation, people with the Xbox console are more likely to spend money unlike those who own a Playstation.

Is this still true? I thought the only data on this was up until December.

I would guess that the added software sales are/were due to the exclusives they had a launch (DR3/Forza). Did Sony have any non PSN game exclusives at launch? None of the games I bought were.

The non-exclusive titles outnumber the exclusive titles to both consoles.

The sales figures are as of two weeks ago (give or take), but Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty: Ghosts sold more units on the Xbox One in NA than the PS4. In addition, the individuals who bought both games are more likely to purchase more software. In relation to these two games, Battlefield 4 Premium and the Call of Duty season pass which both go for $50 a pop.

The MS exclusives, however, sold more units than Sony exclusives. However, Forza 5 was bundled with the console in some territories at launch and will be now bundled with the console here in NA starting next week for those who don't opt for the Titanfall bundle.

Both consoles had pretty terrible launch exclusives, the main exception being Forza 5. Still, Killzone managed to be the best selling of the launch titles on either console pretty effortlessly (worldwide).

Did they release digital sales numbers? I thought both companies were keeping that close to the vest.

Dead Rising 3 was awesome and was quite a surprise considering I hated the last outing.

Forza 5 is okay and I'm struggling to keep interest in beating Ryse despite the short gameplay.

I wasn't such a fan of Dead Rising 3, but then I wasn't a fan of the original or sequel either.

Black Flag was my favorite launch title

I've got to be honest. Having to update a controller seems completely fucking stupid to me.
This generation has been a disappointment so far. At least I use my One almost everyday, as opposed to my PS4 that's been gathering dust. I should probably sell it since it's impossible to find according to everyone in the PS4 thread.

So you're that one guy?

I had so many I just threw a bunch out because I realized I didn't need ten of them.

No, the DS4 has not had any updates so far.

Also I don't recall the Wii U gamepad getting updates. The system has gotten them.
