He's clearly saying there's no reason to download a game, yesterday, because he had a shit that turned out to be a Series X. If you had done the same, you wouldn't want to download non-shit games to it, either! Especially while off!!

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

I know I’m a moron, but I bought SSD expansion for Xbox. By the time they get bigger and cheaper, I’ll just buy a bigger. It’s like with One. I had 2TB, then needed to upgrade to 8TB. I just want to have all my optimized games on SSD so I can just play and not worry about moving games from here to there, etc. I know they’ll get bigger but for now it’s fine.

Did someone mention somewhere around here that Devil May Cry 5 is optimized? I don’t see the X/S...

I could be wrong, but I don’t believe that’s a free upgrade — that if you want the S/X version, you have to buy it on its own.

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

Damn! I just noticed download speeds in Xbox with upping to 400Mbps. 35GB just moved storage drives in 3 minutes flat. That’s pretty dam nice. Finished as I was typing this post.

gotcha. You know I loved DmC: Devil May Cry a shit ton and think it might actually be worth it for this game. I don’t know when I’ll ever play it, but as I said, I loved the shit out of DmC. Not sure what # that is. Have yet to play 4 also and kinda want to prior to 5. Does DmC share same fighting style and characters as 4 and 5 or is completely different?

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

Will a non-optimized game, like RDR2 play any better, faster loads on SSD or doesn’t matter since not optimized?

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

Is it possible to change the order of storage drives in Xbox? I know you can set one to install as default. I know sounds petty and don’t think can do it, but just wanted to put them in size order and keep SSD’s together...

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

Why would I feel a faint amount of heat emanating from the vent when the system is off and had been off for hours, but am using instant on?

*sigh*

Because the machine is running slightly to ensure you can start the machine immediately. It is basically suspended, not off. If you don't want that, turn it all the way off. These are like beginner questions that they explain when you set up the system. Did you bother to read any of it when you were setting it up?

honestly, why would lack of knowledge about the inner and outer workings of a video game console have anything to do with my actual knowledge about real stuff and the way I teach or now, taught, kids?

And honestly GFY Rob. I take real offense at that comment. I loved teaching almost all the kids I had over the years and had a blast with them doing it! And they learned a shit ton.

thank you. I forgot about that and no, I didn’t read anything about set up. I just plugged it in bc there really wasn’t much to do besides logging in.

I think the problem is that you have a lack of knowledge about everything not just inner workings of a video game console. Almost everyone of your posts is asking a question that has either previously been answered, very easily found online, or common sense. You repeatedly make posts which are unreadable and I have to ask myself regularly if you are pulling some elaborate troll on all of us because if not then Jesus Christ. So yes I can see where Rob is coming from.

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

^ well, that’s yours and Rob’s and whoever else’s opinion. Whatever helps you sleep. I sleep like a baby, knowing I’ve done and continually to do good in this world. And while actually helping people and care. My last two careers have allowed me and proved that. Of course it’s hearsay and my word and who knows if I’m lying or not, but if my laziness on these forums denigrates (with a perceived lack of overall knowledge in life) me then I’m totally fine with that and your opinion and whoever else’s opinion. Don’t answer my questions, answer my “inane” questions, in my life, at this time, I could care less. Goodnight sir. I’m done.

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

I care about you disparaging my career and knowledge related to my career since you have not an iota of actual evidence. That, I care a lot about. Not answering my questions or thinking my posts are mostly incomprehensible, from what I gather with Quest’s post. Not sure what I did to him. I used to admire his descriptions of most video games I can never play due to hardware limitations. Especially his yearly thread and I noted that fact. So not sure where the hate comes from there, but as I said ridiculing me and my insanity/inanity laden posts, here in this rather odd and now decaying website is one thing and something I could care less about, but when it comes to the work I do and did I’ll defend to my dying breath. Now, of course I have evidence of success in my many saved observations, #’s on AP test, etc. Can you say you saved the life of an unborn baby? I can. But that’s neither here nor there. That’s mine. That generally won’t enter “this” world too much. Maybe once in a very long blue moon.
