No hate just utter confusion. I can only go off what you present yourself as on these forums and based on your posts if I found out you were going to teach my "hypothetical child" I would get them put in another class immediately. You show no capacity for learning, listening, or problem solving all things that I would expect out of a teacher. Like I said I only know what you present here so telling us all your real life accomplishments now is meaningless. You're also not going to change and you've only gotten worse as the years have gone by with posters enabling you by answering every question you have instead of letting you figure things out for yourself. I try to only put people on my ignore list who are posting racist/sexist/homophobic posts but for my only sanity I'm going to need to add you.

All righty then. But, next time express how you really feel.

I take back anything disparaging about you teaching kids. I apologize for that... my point was much like The Questyen’s; you post things that are totally within the realm of you answering yourself or quickly finding out ( in most cases, 10x faster by Googling than posting here).

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

Hey remember when this thread was about Xbox?

Anyway, I tried out the new FPS Boost mode (you have to install the latest Xbox update, and the mode only works with some games), and it's... Kind of wonderful. At least with Dishonored, which I was playing yesterday (before the update) so the change was immediately evident.
Sounds like it's not so great for one of the Fallout games (could be a bug), but otherwise... The feature is legit.

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

^ yes. My many pleas to have every post unrelated to this thread deleted have gone unanswered. Then I wondered why some many gripes about a dying site and people leaving and all that and now I can understand why people just don’t dig it anymore. Of course, the obvious retort will be, “well, maybe it’s you killing it off.” That’s understandable, but I don’t think so and do think I know why now. Too bad. And not just in this thread. It really is a different place than 10 years ago.

I'm glad you're going to play (or replay) Dishonored as well. thank you for the reply.
Wait, didn't you love Prey? That game has FPS Boost too! I still need to play that game. Maybe next. Play it!!

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

Sorry Dan. I’m done. Prey was great. Dishonored too. Don’t know what boost mode is all about, but sounds fun and maybe I will check it out and would love to go back to Prey. What exactly does it do, in terms of gameplay?

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

Boosts frames per second to 60 wherever possible. Not to be confused with first person shooter (the other FPS acronym, confusingly) even though, yes, these games are both of that genre. Doesn't seem like a big deal, but Dishonored in particular was pretty distractingly choppy before the update. Now it's like silk. I love it.

I picked up the new headset today... it's very nice. Sound is great but I'm hoping to adjust the treble a bit. I need to figure out how/if I can do that.

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

I was finally able to grab an series X today on Gamestop's website. It was a bundle, but I'm happy to have finally got one ordered.Talked to a manager at the local store and was told I can return the games in store, and possibly the controller (as I would prefer the blue or red over the carbon black).

Party chat will soon be free, effectively making games like Fortnite completely free. https://www.theverge.com/2021/3/24/2...etwork-changes

I didn't know party chat wasn't free. I have been chatting with people on PC through it on cross-play games, but I think most of them have Game Pass as well so I guess that doesn't give me an answer.

Gamestop originally said March 31st-April 1st. I received a tracking notice Thursday evening (said awaiting drop off) that estimated March 31st, but it arrived Friday.

I now am trying to figure out the best way to transfer stuff over today when I have time to set it up. I found this google sheet for optimized games, including those that will run from external drives (not many but a few). I have roughly 2.5 TB of stuff installed on my XB1X (1TB internal/2TB external). I have an extra new 3.0 USB 2TB, but I'm afraid it will be too slow, and now eyeing a external SSD because the expansion SSD is just too expensive right now.

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

It seems like Sony is doing a much better job of getting more consoles out than Microsoft. I have been so close to getting a Series X, only to have it taken out of my cart before I could check it out.

Pretty obvious they are keeping anything of significance to Game Pass.

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

I wish they would worry about making new consoles. It's April and still no closer to finding one. I have a bunch of site on Twitter on notification if they see someone selling them, they will send an alert. With people getting their tax refunds and stimulus checks, it's going to be a long wait until they are readily available.
