What are some of the best things to use FC on? I have $60+ built up right now and want to unload it.

Things? Well, there are the sd-dvds that can be used with FC at full price, plus you have to pay shipping out of pocket. Oh then there are the other things... oh wait, that's all..

Has anyone ordered Casino Royale: Blu-Ray lately from CH? The website shows only the older 1-disc version, but I'd like to know if they are shipping the newer 2-disc version. Thanks

CH doesn't always get the double dips.

Is Man on Wire a title that CH will likely ever get?

I signed up with the 6-1-1 deal and got my one title for $1.99 and bought my 1 selection at club price already. When my $1.99 selection came, the "Alternate Selection Voucher"s came with it to order my other 5 titles with. My question is, do they really only let you fill these things out in full five different times and mail them into them (they gave me no envelope for that, just for payment of the $1.99 title, which I already did online) like this is the 70s and not offer an online option to select these five titles?

^You should be able to use the "contact us" link to tell them what title(s) you would like to order using the vouchers. Their system will show that you have the vouchers and have not used them. Pick an appropriate subject (membership question should work) from those available in the dropdown and list the titles (with selection # to avoid possible confusion/errors) you would like to order in the message part. Your selections must be based on the "small print" on the vouchers (probably no sets or pre-orders).

^You can also just e-mail them directly at [email protected]. Be sure to include your account number and a clear explanation of what you want them to do.

The way I did it was to just call them with my list of selection numbers at hand. Quick and easy, if one calls during normal business hours using the correct method.

Be aware that you can only select titles that are available for enrollment. If there is one you want that is going to become available for enrollment soon, you might want to wait to place your order.

I am trying to get Elizabeth: The Golden Age but it keeps coming up 19.95 in the cart unless I buy something else. I thought DOTD could be gotten by themselves?

^Isn't it a DotD for December 15? Your post is dated December 14; it might not have been active yet. Try it again now.

^It was the 15th here and it was listed at the ch page, but it must have been too early as it's working now.

Do you know of a code that will give me a freebie with it? None I have tried so far worked.

^Columbia House runs on Central time, I believe.

Last I read, DotD titles no longer worked with BOGOF codes. That could change, however.

^Yes, CH is CT.

You can get the DotD using one of the B1G1 variety that lets you use *any* price as the B1 portion and G1 of equal or lesser value. The recent weekend special code (805645) worked this way. Keep in mind that these type codes tend to be as rare as free shipping on box sets. Otherwise, you're correct. It's been a while since a "regular" B1G1 worked w/DotD titles.

Guess I could be wrong, but I always thought they ran on Eastern time. Codes/1-day sales have always expired for me at midnight.

^I believe that Columbia House is still based in Indiana, although DVDs are mostly shipped from South Carolina nowadays. In the past they ran on Central Time.

I wonder why I have to pay tax in TEXAS then?

Anyway,

I got an new HDL account and ordered two Blu-Ray B1G1 to complete the memebership.

I did not get a confirmation email and when I look at my account it says "processed" but there is no pending charge on my account.

Has anyone had anything like this happen?

I think they're on Eastern time then. Most of Indiana is now on the same time...unlike the way it was a couple of years ago.

Weird stuff going on with CH. When trying to check out on Firefox it takes me to Mypoints.com. So I try IE & I get this when I try to check out:
There is a problem with this website's security certificate.

The security certificate presented by this website was issued for a different website's address.

Security certificate problems may indicate an attempt to fool you or intercept any data you send to the server.

When I click to continue it takes me back to checkout page.
Have been trying all day & I can't check out because each time I get this stuff. Is anyone else having problems?

I had no problem getting to the "Review Order" page. I had no interest in completing a checkout, though. If you are getting the error before that, then maybe:

1) your security is better than mine, and I'm getting fooled into sending data somewhere else, or

2) someone has screwed with your system (DNS, hosts file, etc.), and your web browsers are trying to send data where it's not supposed to go.

Is there any way to find DVDs at a particular price point? I'd like to review the cheapest ones to see if there are any I'd like to consider for FunCash purchases. It seems that there was once a section that listed a lot of lower priced DVDs, but the only option I can find now is to click on the "Gift Center" section and look at the meager listing of DVDs under $10. (I know there are $7.95 list price DVDs on the site somewhere because I have one saved to my Wish List section!)

Thanks!

columbiahouse.com/ch/browse/shop/aslowas/795.html

Add www. to that.

If you want to find the search by price options, go under Features, not the Gift Center. Then at the bottom of the More Features list, you'll see the link to search by price.

Perfect! Thanks, Cheato (I'm actually not sure that I've ever clicked on that Features button before...lol)
