I would expect this to be no more than $40 at Amazon, and I also wouldn't be surprised to see a single-disc release for the standard catalog list price a la Batman Begins and its two releases.
Either way, IMO it's important to show support for classic on a new format.

As always, I have to wonder if it were the other way around, would we be hearing about how the BD dropped the really cool packaging the HD DVD had?
Sure it's a superfluous marketing ploy, but if brings attention to the Blu-Ray release there's no harm IMO.

I don't know if I'll drop the cash for it, but I have to admit it looks pretty sweet:

Personally, Im glad they are releasing collector's editions with a Bluray option. This is one of my top 10 favorites and I watch it at least once a year. So, its a buy for me.

Pass. You guys can keep the crap that will do nothing but rot on my shelves. I'm so done with these fancy packagings that contain stuff I will never use or look at more then once.

Like with "A Christmas Story" which is released as an Ultimate Collectors Edition and a standard edition on the same day.
Personally I love Casablanca and hate non-standard packaging. Give me a standard edition anyday.
