...although it first made the festival rounds in 2006, and Tarsem had been shooting it piecemeal well before that.

blu-news.com is reporting that Universal will release 3 Adam Sandler movies this fall (probably in a 3 pack): Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, Chuck and Larry. Also, American Gangster, Casino and Eastern Promises on 10/14 (possibly in a 3 pack also). I hope the 3 packs do happen, as I love Universal's pricing on those.

Finally, Poltergeist. My birthday will be very, very expensive. Hopefully it will contain some of the stuff from that 3 disc canceled DVD version from a few years back.

Band of Brothers MSRP for Blu-ray announced at only 99.98! Kudos to HBO for biting the bullet on this one. With Amazon discounts you're looking at 70 bucks which is a deal for this.

Pleasantly surprised to see "Immortal". The SD actually looks quite nice, but I have a strange fascination for this film and may want Thomas Kretschmann in high def.

RE: Band Of Brothers

I think that's about as much as HBO can get away with charging for a 7-8 year old property which has been dirt cheap on DVD recently.

Still worth every penny though.

$69 isn't too bad. It could have been much worse.

Band of Brothers and Sopranos info:

Warner Home Video in conjunction with HBO have announced the exclusive features that will be found on the upcoming Blu-ray release of 'Band of Brothers', due to hit store shelves on November 11th. In addition to the special features already found on the DVD set, the Blu-ray will include the BonusView feature "In the Words of Easy Company" and the "In the Field with the Men of Easy Company" interactive field guide.

The BonusView feature will include commentary by the veterans of Easy Company while the interactive field guide will feature soldier profiles, historical timelines, maps, and more.

Additionally, HBO has announced that on October 7th 'Sopranos: Season 6, Part 1' and 'Sopranos: Season 6, Part 2' will be permanently repriced to a MSRP of $79.98 (a savings of $50 from the current MSRP).

Looks like DVD Talk doesn't allow linking to that site anymore. Um, why?

Hmm...you're right. I went back and double-checked the Amazon email and it definitely says 10/9. Checking the actual item page on Amazon shows 10/7 which would be a correct Tuesday, so it looks like the email date is a typo, but the delay still stands.

Are you a Prime member? 10/9 might have been the estimated delivery date. I got the same email.
