re: Star Wars
I never thought I’d say this, but I think I’m leaning toward canceling my order now…if these reports are true. That Vader “noooo” cry sounds like a joke, which I hope it is. But I wouldn’t doubt it if Lucas did put it in there. Truly sad indeed.
I’ll just hold on to my 2006 DVD releases. Also I found a way to make the UOT anamorphic…I just convert them to XVID using AutoGK and plug my external into my HDTV and they are truly anamorphic…awesome. I just wish the quality was up to par, but they’re still very watchable. I also have Adywan’s cut which is awesome.

As far as canceling pre-orders go, I'm still on the fence but leaning towards it solely because the usage of a one to two frame color fix in a press release is borderline consumer fraud. I'm more angry about the shoddy technical fixes or lack thereof than anything else.
I was always intending on buying the 9-Disc set solely to have Empire in HD as it's my all time favorite film and it appears again, it escapes almost entirely unscathed.
The bonus features were the draw as a fan and to be completely honest, the versions of the movie I watch on DVD now are: Adywan's Cut, the 2004 cut of Empire and the non-anamorphic Jedi (Jedi Rocks is too much to stomach).
That said, I'll likely cancel the pre-order unless reports of how good the bonus features are/how many deleted scenes are truly included. I honestly feel guilty shelling out money for the archival stuff because Lucasfilm/Fox does interpret that as approval of sub-par work.
All in all though, Lucas can keep tinkering, he obviously has something to over compensate, but he can't erase the unaltered versions from my memory nor existence as they are out there on the Internet and this Blu-Ray release looks like one argument in favor of piracy.

Can't believe I'm saying this myself but when the reviews come out and these changes are confirmed...I really might just cancel my pre-order.

Also, there is something that I am going to do, that I would love if all the people cancelling (who have a twitter) would do. As soon as I cancel my order, I am going to tweet @Starwars and tell Lucasfilm that I did and why.
I'm sure that they aren't going to care, but it's worth a try.

So there is still hope if Katie doesn't like changes!
BTW, Spike TV has the Star Wars marathon this Labor Day weekend.

Ummm....you know she's saying she's annoyed by people complaining about the changes, not the changes themselves, right?
I mean come on, this is the "haters gonna hate" girl who apparently picked out the cover art.
That Bryan Young who tweeted about it wrote an article basically berating people who don't suck Lucas off so he's hardly anyone worth paying much attention to about this.

You read her comment that she thinks the alterations are nonsense?
Because I read them that she thinks that people complaining about the alterations is what is nonsense.
In other words - she's definitely not on my side.

If that doesn't work, they let Rutger Hauer in the room and lock the door on the way out.

re: Star Wars
I've read her tweets before and once joked that I now realized the prequels weren't the worst things Lucas created.
Then I found out she and the rest of his kids were adopted.
If I were a lesser man, I'd say Lucas is such a poor director he couldn't even direct a pregnancy.

Maybe I should place a pre-order so I can cancel it to send a better message than my so-far choice of not ordering whatsoever.

On Wednesday, a press representative for Lucasfilm confirmed that this change will be included in the Blu-ray release, writing in an email: “Yes—Darth says NO.”

Amazon has the little form of "Why" when you cancel. I checked "Other" and commented "Product not as promised. I will not be ordering from anywhere. Amazon lost a sale due to Lucasfilm."

No promises were made. In fact, you knew Lucas would make more changes. Instead of making new films, Lucas just decides to update his old ones. His creative well ran dry.

I wonder if that ROTJ thing will become a meme, spawning videos of scenes from other movies with "noooooo" added whenever a character gets saved from death.
