Someone in the YouTube comments, says a high quality version will be released on the 'net on Monday.

Here's hoping.

An actual Paramount release or a "release" like the one we have? I would think Paramount should just keep it limited to Cloverfield for a while to maybe help out with ticket sales (sorta like TPM did).

Teaser was cool, even though there wasn't much to it. Still, it got me a little excited. I'm only a fan of the original Trek series, but this new flick could turn out pretty damn good if they can pull it off. I'm still a little unsure about the casting, but I guess we'll see.

The teaser was so-so...but such is the history of teasers, which never have much footage to show, if any.

Make me wonder where the heck the INDIANA JONES teaser is, though...that movie comes from Paramount in May...STAR TREK's not here until Christmas.

If anything, I wonder if the ship in that teaser is just a symbol of the movie - under construction.

Yeah I wasn't expecting much but I got a little chill towards the end of teaser so to me it was successful in what it was trying to do. I think people often want more in teasers than there needs to be. The point is to "tease" not to be a full-on trailer.

Current rumors is that the Indiana Jones trailer will hit on Feb 15.

The crappy youtube teaser gave me chills. My only complaint is I wish with the music they had used the same theme but the slower version

That teaser trailer is garbage! It does NOTHING for me, some guy welding on the ship, boring.
ohhhh ya, showing some guy welding on the ship is going to attract new viewers to the franchise.

Don't you get tired of having such a negative attitude about EVERYTHING? I doubt I've ever seen a single positive post from you in any thread I've seen you in.

Cheer up man.

Please dude, I am giving my opinion on the trailer and it sucks, it has nothing to do with my attitude, if you like it fine, don't judge me. If you don't like what I have to say don't read it.

....

For god's sakes, its NOT a trailer, its a TEASER. The vast majority of the non message board reading, non geek people had no clue that a new Star Trek movie was coming out. It serves its purpose quite well.

"some guy welding, building the ship"
Gee, I wonder if that means that maybe this movie is about the beginning of the Enterprise....

People are just bound and determined to hate this movie no matter what. Probably the same people that can't stop complaining about how Harrison Ford looks too old to be Indy....

looks OK

to me it looks like a space port on earth with a ship waiting to launch. Couldn't make out if it was the Enterprise or another ship with nacelles but much better than the Enterprise TV series.

It did for me. I saw one when I was ten (didn't like it) but I am actually looking forward to this one. If it gets halfway decent reviews I'll check it out.

I understand that ( I even know their name - "Bussard collectors"), I just think that the original concept guys probably had something a little more "futuristic" in mind than some giant steel turbines.
