Can we keep the third film grounded in reality like the previous two. Why would you want the third stylistically different from the two preceding it?

Certainly not a bad one, and it'd be fun to see Bats take on a room full of weapon wielding baddies in a single shot, but I dunno.. foreign directors doing English movies have a sketchy record as of late.

One thing I think Nolan does better than just about any other director these days, is drive a story forward, nary a wasted scene in any of his flicks.
I know. I feel their track record would be better if American producers would trust their vision.

I think "Batman" has a lot of themes associated with Wook's films, even his short in 3 Extremes. The look of his 'Vengeance Trilogy' seems in line with Nolan's, so I feel it would be a more safer and interesting hand-off from Nolan to Wook, than say del Toro or a complete 180 stylistic change ala "300".

Oh well, Nolan will be back regardless.

Nice. Love the music. I still don't understand why they don't play up the Joker/Ledger's laugh more in the trailers. It is eerie and brilliant at the same time.

Awesome.

Is it just me or has the delivery of some of Ledger's lines changed trailer to trailer to tv spot, etc??

Almost every movie trailer and TV spot for a film is like that, full of alternate takes and so on.

That's nothing new.

I have absolutely no doubt now this is going to be the Empire Strikes Back of this trilogy.

I don't know, I think the theatrical trailers have set up a nice little pause and then showcasing the laugh. Although I hope we get some good doses of it in the movie. I was dissapointed that Spider-Man didn't capture a lot of the smart-ass and witty remarks that Spidey usually throws out, so hopefully we get some good maniacal Joker.

A good fourth of it will be dedicated to eye-rolling "screwball romance" dialogue?

Not nearly as well cut as the main trailer, but I'm a sucker for any new footage/dialogue I can get.

Hulk? I was thinking of something like Sin City or 300. But I see it's not the popular opinion so I shall discuss it no more.

Thats what the anime is for. It has the gothic look crossed with Sin City style visuals (on some parts).

About a year or so ago I suggested that WB should do a Sin City style film using the lesser known DC characters such as Green Arrow, Huntress, Question, ect. It's not like they are ever going to use these characters in stand alone movies, and they might just make them more popular in the process.

That alternate trailer was great. BTW if anyone has Comcast On Demand there is a Dark Knight section in the Top Picks area that has that alternate trailer and a big list of other new stuff including a Gotham City "news" program about the election for DA hosted by Anthony Michael Hall.

Oh man, a trailer can't be that good without the actual movie being at least spectacular. I can't wait much longer for this come out.

I can't see how this won't be the best movie of the year, and probably the best superhero movie ever. God, I can't wait for this.
