It would certainly be cooler than flying through the air in ZSSM (Zak Snyder slow-mo) towards a helicopter.
Sorry, I love acronyms today.

Re: Wolverine - Solo
A lot of other scenes in the Wolverine trailer bugs me as well:
"As I run towards you (Sabertooth), let me scrape my claws against the floor (or metal fence, I already forgot) to make myself look like a samurai."
"I will light a path of gas, til it ends up in a big explosion"

If the news on the net at this moment is true and not an April Fool's Joke, this is going to be talked about for a long time since it's certainly one of the most high profile releases to be leaked so early.
Word is that Wolverine is out on the net, 1 whole month before release. Could be fake, but there's stories about it on several movie websites, along with dozens of threads about it on IMDB.

Re: Wolverine - Solo
I liked the original X-Men, I still think it's one of the better comic book movies they've produced. The second film was frustrating for someone who hadn't read the comics, it felt like a string of five-minute references to the series that were intriguing, but an uninitiated like me would have needed twice as much time on each subject. The third film was largely forgettable and flawed, and I thought it didn't have the nerve to really stick to any of the twists it created.

7-11 is going to have a special Wolverine promotion this April. Taken from here
I love these promotions, I have a cabinet full of 7-11 movie cups
Are you getting ready for the upcoming “X-Men Origins” movie? Well so are 7-11 convenient stores. Promotional images will be plastered on all over Slurpee cups nationwide in April as anxious geeks prepare for Wolverine’s story to hit big screens May 1st. Not only will you get to sip from a cup featuring your favorite character, but you can try a brand new flavor called Mutant Berry. Slurpee/Wolverine fans…permission to rejoice.

Re: Wolverine - Solo
^Me too - I will definitely be getting those cups. Shocked that the workprint leaked so early and heads will definitely roll over this one. I'm going to resist the urge to watch it now (and hope most do the same) but I do think it could be interesting to seek it out after May 1 and see what changes etc. were made to it...because until a movie is locked, it can change immensely with just a few edits/additions here and there... Is this the earliest, highest profile leak ever? I can't think of anything like this happening before (I know a dvd quality version of Jurassic Park III leaked about a week early but seriously, A MONTH?!)

Re: Wolverine - Solo
A whole month early? I've been fairly lukewarm to this film from the get-go. It looks cool, but it just hasn't excited me like a new X-Men film might have.

Has anyone seen the latest previews? I was interested in seeing this, but holy cow, the new previews make it look like a total cheese-fest.

It looks pretty good. I'm not spoiling the surprise of seeing it in the theater, so I turned it off after about 20 minutes but it was enough to hook me.

Same, that and I can't work with it going at the same time... I was a little disappointed they went thru those opening credits scenes so quickly, all well.

Re: Wolverine - Solo
The workprint is apparently 15 minutes shorter than the final version and there were all sorts of incomplete effects (even notes on the screen), but I thought it was pretty good. I don't know the comic so I don't know what they changed.
I thought this one was more like the first, although not quite as good. Like a lot of movies based on existing properties (or blockbusters in general), there's sort of a sense that each scene was devised on its own and then someone went through and strung it all together, for better or worse.
If you want to ask me questions, I'll be happy to answer them in spoiler tags, with the exception of where I watched it, because I won't say (please don't PM me about it either. If you're that desperate to see it, it's not that challenging).

I will not look for or watch the leaked footage and I encourage everyone else to take this stance.
But for those that have already seen it, what be the general concencous?

Re: Wolverine - Solo
American Gangster leaked nearly two weeks early in complete DVD quality. Hulk leaked a few weeks early as well, but in a rough workprint copy.
I have seen this and it's not that bad. Certainly better than The Last Stand. Most of the effects that are missing are cuttaways and certain backgrounds. The ending is also missing a lot of effects with are substituted with ADR notes, Computer Animatics, Wires. It was interesting to see a high profile film in raw quality. Rumour is that the reshoots are not in this workprint so it could be drastically different. I will see it again in theaters to see a finished product.

Re: Wolverine - Solo
As others have stated, 15 minutes are missing from this workprint, and the effects are unfinished. I read a magazine article with Ryan Reynolds. He talked about plotlines I was unaware of, and it was rumored the reshoots involved his character, not to mention that the reshoots may have been done in reaction to test screenings, and it sounds like people don't like some of the things involving Reynolds, so anything stated about his character could easily change.

Thanks for the answers, droidguy1119. That's a mix of good and bad news there. Just one last question.
