We'll need to wait 'til after this movie bombs to hear the "real" story.

When I said "original vision" I meant that the script was their baby and something they wrote as fans of the material. Of course, as you mention, they were likely just hired guns on this project.

I can't see the video at work for some reason. I guess I'll have to wait 'til I get home.
Is it any different from the previous trailers or mostly the same old footage?

Re: G.I.Joe 2 Coming
Finally saw the new trailer. Color me unimpressed. It's still obvious that the Tatum only appears during the beginning of the movie (even if they probably don't kill him now given the coda that was shot, unless it's a flashback), I bet you Bruce Willis still only gets 10 minutes of total screentime, and the trailer was overall meh.
At least you get a peak at Arnold Vosloo.

Marlon Wayans Is Glad To Be Out Written Out Of GI Joe
Ricardo Hazell of AllHipHop.com recently talked to Marlon Wayans about his new movie Haunted House. During their talk, the Rise Of Cobra came up. Interestingly enough, Wayans had this to say(WARNING: Though this has been rumored for a while and maybe Wayans is joking or maybe not, the following could be considered a possible spoiler):
In addition, Wayans is glad to have been written out out of the movie:
“I always say to people that there are lessons and blessings,” he explained. “It’s one of the greatest blessings ever for me to be written out of that franchise because it gives me a chance to be creative. I hold my head up. I don’t sulk. I put my head down and made my first movie. I obviously had a ball making it, and this is like my coming out party. This is my ‘Control’ album. Hopefully it’s not that bad album Janet put out there.”
Last month we learned that his partner in crime from the Rise Of Cobra, Channing Tatum, also wanted to be written off in the movie.

Re: G.I.Joe 2 Coming
The only Joe characters I actually liked were Snake Eyes and Scarlett, though she could have been written better. Those two at least took your attention w/ their presence. Everyone else were just weakly written and/or not acted well.

Wayans sounds like a bitter douche. Yeah, spending a couple of months on a GI Joe movie and making tons of cash really prevents you from "being creative" the other 10 months out of the year. You weren't "creative" before GI Joe, so what has changed now? and as it turns out, your new creative outlet is simply more of the same parody horror bullshit you've been doing for a decade? Shut the fuck up, you no talent, sour grapes eating cocksucker.

I think Wayans was simply joking around.

Re: G.I.Joe 2 Coming
I didn't really have a problem with Wayans in the first film. He wasn't nearly as annoying as he can be. I'm glad he's now free from the series so he can get to work on the White Chicks sequel everyone is clamoring for.
