That's interesting, but I'm 36 so I was in the sweet spot for G.I. Joe, and I had both the early toys that were more realistic and things like the Pogo, so it all blends together. I don't think kids my age were very discerning or "traditional" fans of G.I. Joe, whatever that means.

IMAX Corporation and Paramount Pictures, Skydance Productions, in association with Hasbro, today announced that G.I. Joe: Retaliation, the action-packed follow-up to the 2009 box office hit G.I Joe: The Rise of Cobra, will be digitally re-mastered into the immersive IMAX 3D format and released to select IMAX theatres internationally starting March 28 and for a one week run in North America beginning March 29.
"Dwayne Johnson has resonated well with IMAX fans, and we believe his strong global appeal, coupled with the action spectacle of G.I. Joe: Retaliation in IMAX 3D is sure to excite moviegoers," said Greg Foster, Chairman and President of IMAX Filmed Entertainment.

Two possibilities. Either the movie is good. Or some producers are really patching it up so they can salvage some revenue.

I saw the "extended preview" in front of Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters. It was in 3D, and I won't be seeing the final version in 3D because the action is too fast for it, but they showed a good Snake Eyes/Storm Shadow fight. And the fact they removed the dumbass lips from the Snake Eyes costume makes it even better.
Everything I'm seeing looks fine to me - I'm really looking forward to it.

Wow, I can't believe how time flies. I recall last May or so, everyone in this forum was so jazzed up to see this and then Paramount pulled it and people here were saying I'm not going to give a shit about this movie next March. 
Now, we're only 2 months away.

Minutes ago, The Rock became WWE Champion again. Is he going to wear the belt when on talk shows promoting GI Joe? Sure seems like WWE gave it to him to get some visibility for themselves during his upcoming promo tours.

I didn't hate Van Helsing but Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters is the movie Van Helsing should have been. Remember the badass production art for Van Helsing that had us thinking it was gonna be a gory ride? That's Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters.

Van Helsing was an abomination. I always hated that they tried turning Van Helsing into a PG version of Solomon Kane. Thank god we finally got an actual Solomon Kane flick that rocked.
The Frankenstein creature in Van Helsing is the only saving grace, because it's an actual man-in-suit creature. The cgi used was awful. Even the cgi used in H&G looked really bad. Surprising that it was directed by the dude that directed Dead Snow. I love Dead Snow - I even imported it.
