Only bettered by the Falcon flying through the downed Star Destroyer.

Peter Mayhew is only doing the voice, and not wearing the Chewie suit, right?

Agreed about the teaser ending, the opening was good. I think I liked the first teaser better but nice to see new stuff.

damn good trailer, though i think a lot of it had to do with the music cues.

Looks a lot better than the Episode III version.

Pretty sure he's in the suit and Ben Burtt or whoever is responsible for all the Wookiee "dialogue."

I thought that was as great a teaser trailer could be. WAY better than the first one.

Watching all this live, has amped me up for this movie. Seeing Chewie (my 2nd fav character) on screen with Han, made me want to cry.

I see Luke has a nice new hand.

And the shot of Vader's helmet means someone went back to the pyre on Endor which means there will be ewoks in this movie. i like ewoks.

Awesome trailer....Han's line a the end was a bit cheesy but only because it seemed to come out of nowhere (i.e. no context). Loved the shot though...ever since the first teaser everyone wanted to see the original cast!

Yeah, I think he is in the suit....I seem to remember him being rushed to the hospital for something a few months back so maybe the need for a cane was because of that. Filming had already finished I believe.

It seems someone forgot to let Kenny Baker out of his crate and bring him up on stage.

Peter Mayhew never did the voice.

Didn't know that. Wasn't sure he could suit up at his age. Warwick Davis is wearing the Ewok suit, too?

I have a feeling Peter has a body double sometimes. I bet he does the close ups in the suit.

I'm bored at the moment, I can give it a shot:

Spoiler:
- Wide pan of desert planet (Jakku) as Rey rides her speeder far in the distance. X-Wing and Star Destroyer wreckage litter the landscape.

- Over the shoulder shot of Vader's burnt and melted helmet.

- Cloaked figure (likely Luke) kneeling next to Artoo as a few fiery embers blow on both of them. He raises a robotic right hand and rests it on the dome.

- Little orange alien arm (likely "Rose", played by Lupita Nyong'o) hands a female (likely Leia) Anakin's lightsaber -- or at least it looks like his.

- Low-angle shot of several X-Wings skimming over a lake. Green hills and lots of trees surround the water.

- A helmeted Poe Dameron shouts "WOOHOO!" in his X-Wing cockpit.

- Kylo Ren strikes down with his red cross hilt saber. There's fire in the background and two stormtroopers are behind him.

- Rey, Finn and BB-8 on the desert planet running away from a crash and/or explosion. A TIE fighter is flying in the distance.

- Close-up of Kylo (flanked by stormtroopers) using the Force on someone with fire burning in the background. This reminded me of the concept art of the "razing of the village" scene.

- Dozens of stormtroopers turn forward in formation in front of a snowy mountain environment. A giant red banner with unknown insignia hangs in the background with a figure dressed in black surveying the troops in the distance. A TIE fighter and laser canon are also in the shot.

- Close-up of Rey holding something clear (a crystal?) and glancing up.

- Two TIE fighters zooming by in daylight through a cloud of black smoke.

- An Imperial hanger bay being attacked by one of the TIE fighters. Another TIE explodes and a stormtrooper goes hurling through the air.

- A sweaty Finn removing his helmet (which has a bloody handprint on it) on a troop transport and breathing heavily.

- A V-shaped shuttle flanked by four smaller transports flies toward a Star Destroyer.

- Chrome trooper wearing a black cape with red lining (likely Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma) swaggering down an Imperial hallway cradling a blaster.

- BB-8 peeking around a corner of the Falcon.

- Shot of Rey on the desert planet.

- Finn lying on the ground in street clothes. Rey extends her hand to him and he gets up.

- Falcon flying past Star Destroyer wreckage on the desert planet as TIE fighters are in pursuit.

- Falcon flying into one of the thrusters of the wreckage.

- Shot of chrome (or black?) TIE fighter pilot in cockpit firing.

- Falcon turning sideways, narrowly being hit by laser fire and evading an explosion.

- Han aboard the Falcon with his blaster raised and Chewie behind him with his bowcaster at the ready. Han: "Chewie... we're home." Chewie growls.

Never been that big of a Star Wars fan, but even I think it was a great trailer. Much better then the first teaser, the voice over was great, and showing Han was perfect.

So is Daisy Ridley's character named Rey or Kira? Or Kira Rey?

Picture of her speeder from Celebration, spoilered for size:
Spoiler:

She looks a lot like a Jennifer Garner in Alias era. JJ seems to have a type of lead women he casts.

Remember how Frank Herbert accused Star Wars of ripping off his Dune series? Funny how the name of this new desert planet (Jaku, Jacu, Jacquesu, whatever) instantly reminded me of Jacurutu -- another desert location from Children of Dune.

My gawd! Frickin' insane trailer! Goosebumps and watery eyes by the end. Like the rest of you, the Star Wars universe means so much to me as it's been a huge part of my life for 30 years.
