Re: The Transformers: 40th anniversary cinema event

Love this movie, never caught it on the big screen before. It's so short, it would be AWESOME if they could add bonus items at the beginning, like Hasbro commercials or other fun Transformers...

Re: Men (2022, D: Garland) S: Jessie Buckley, Rory Kinnear

 I'm probably watching The Big Short sometime this month because I haven't seen it yet. Wanna order pizzas and watch it together over the phone in our pajamas?

Re: Skinamarink (2023, D: Kyle Edward Ball)

This one was not for me.

After sleeping on it, I think I'll add why. This movie is way too long. It would play much better as a Twilight Zone episode, something like that. The amount of staring...

Re: Men (2022, D: Garland) S: Jessie Buckley, Rory Kinnear

I watched this late last night when I should have been in bed. I think I liked it. Is that a weird sentence to write? I appreciated the tone, the pacing, the cinematography, the themes, the acting,...

Re: Pearl (2022, D: Ti West) -- X prequel -- S: Mia Goth

This was okay. Mia Goth was good, but the movie was too slow in some parts and too fast in others, so the pacing felt weird. I enjoyed X more, and I'd see more of these movies.

Re: Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (2024, D: Kenan) -- The Reviews Thread

Phoebe: "Looks like the brass worked. Let's get everyone else's pack set up, too."
Ray: "It won't work on our older packs. Looks like it's up to you, kid."
Trevor: "Wait, shouldn't we give that to...

Re: Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (2024, D: Kenan) -- The Reviews Thread

It is weird (a.k.a. plot-and-character-arc convenient) that despite Lucky telling them their proton packs won't work, despite Ray helping realize brass would work, despite plenty of brass pole to go...

Re: What Happens Later (2023, D: Ryan) -- S: Meg Ryan, David Duchovny

I didn't really get much out of this. There were, as some have said, a few sweet and/or poignant moments, and I appreciate the whole "shoulda, coulda, woulda" aspect, but it just wasn't a compelling...

Re: Pluto TV - "The best channel you're not yet watching"

Uh-oh. My go-to background show on Pluto TV is Matlock. Hopefully, they don't purge all of the Andy Griffith shows!

Re: The 96th Academy Awards --> 2024 Oscar Awards Show Discussion

Good point, thank you. Wow, look at all of these Best Supporting Actor awards (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Best_Supporting_Actor) across award shows.

Re: The 96th Academy Awards --> 2024 Oscar Awards Show Discussion

Does anyone know, or know how to learn, if phrases like "Best Supporting Actor" or "Best Picture" are copyrighted? I see this on the Academy website:
