Also, if you've been watching this long, what's one more season?

I quit Gossip Girl halfway through last season. I kind of miss it though...I might go back.
I'll probably quit Bones and Treme. They aren't bad shows, but I don't find a big pull to sit down and start it up.

I think my wife and I are done with Glee. It seemed to have lost a lot of its charm for us when it came back this spring. The last episode we watched was the Madonna one, and neither of us were terribly impressed.

Re: what shows are you thinking of quitting?
Hey, give me a break - I'm old. I can't afford to spend so much time waiting for a show to improve. (Plus I've got about 800 DVDs to watch!) I watched every episode this season and liked it at first, but they seemed to be covering a lot of the same ground by the last third of the season.
Someone mentioned Mad Men - I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this season. I have enjoyed every episode so far, but it seems like they will have trouble keeping it fresh. With 13 episode seasons, I'm hoping they can keep it going without just introducing a bunch of new characters.
As far as "24", it's my understanding that Kiefer and the producers were really hoping for a Day 9 when Fox announced it would not be on their schedule for next year saying that the cost of the show was too high for the ratings it was getting. Kiefer & Co. then tried to get NBC to pick up the show as either a regular series or one or more made-for-tv movies/miniseries. NBC couldn't afford it either, so that's when they started talking about a theatrical movie. The movie may not happen at all and everyone on the show is now looking for a job, so I'd say that counts as canceled.

Re: what shows are you thinking of quitting?
I quit on Gossip Girl and Desperate Housewives in the middle of their seasons this year. I might catch up on Gossip Girl during the summer slow months, but I don't know yet.
I stopped watching Treme. I enjoyed what I watched, but I didn't find myself dying to watch another episode. I will catch up this summer.
Glee's music is more miss than hit lately for me. However I like the characters and the non-musical sections. I'll stick it out for now.
Other than that, I think I'll stick with what I have, depending upon what I like in the next season.

just a bump up on this thread. i just canceled my season pass for CSI and for L&O: SVU. I had like 12 SVUs from last year and all from this year and I realized I wasn't going to watch them. I gave up on CSI because of that stupid Justin Beiber casting. That's the beginning of the end for a show.

I quit on Gossip Girl but came back once Lone Star was DOA. I've dumped 90210. I half-dumped Dancing with the Stars (I can only record the first hour).
I gave Outlaw a try and dumped that. Probably will do the same with Blue Bloods.

I dropped Nikita after 2 episodes, and dumped the first 4 episodes of Terriers without watching them.
I'm watching The Event week-to-week, but will probably bail if it doesn't hook me (seeing as it has failed to do so, thus far)

Re: what shows are you thinking of quitting?
I haven't watched any version of L&O for awhile. So, I guess I quit that one. Other than that, Caprica may be decided for me by getting cancelled. I've stopped watching most new shows coming out recently. Only Showtime and HBO original programming for me lately.

Quit on The Event after one episode. It wasn't bad but I'd rather wait to see how successful the show is before getting into it. If it's good I'll catch up on DVD.
I'm week to week with Hawaii Five-0. It's a really fun show and I'm a fan of the cast but it's a procedural and I wouldn't be surprised if I eventually get tired of it.
I'm close to quitting on Ugly Americans. I just haven't been feeling it two episodes in... but I'll hang with it for a little while longer.

I might throw in the towel on Burn Notice when it comes back. I've enjoyed it, and I'm a huge Bruce Campbell fan. But the premise has gotten pretty stale for me.
And while Community can be brilliant at times, overall it just doesn't do much for me. Might give up on that one too...

Five-O is week to week with me. If they add another character and start having subplots with that character I'm gone.

^ Parenthood seems a half hour too long in my book.
I stopped watching 'Rubicon' after episode 5 - it just got dreadfully dull

Probably The Event. I toyed with dumping Terriers after episode 2, but now I'm happy I stayed with it... It got stronger as it went along.

Re: what shows are you thinking of quitting?
I probably won't watch In Plain Sight whenever it returns.
The only new show that I've been watching is No Ordinary Family, but I'm losing interest very quickly.
