I kept trying to figure out who was playing Walter, and after looking at IMDB, it's John Noble, who played Denethor in the Lord of the Rings films.

I liked it, there are so few good intellectual shows out there and they usually get cancelled! I think this show has a lot of potential.
What was that one called a couple of years back, the one with the linguist, mathematician, etc... that was a good one too.

Put me down for the complete opposite. I was kinda bored and felt it was kinda slow going until the dunk tank. Then it took off and I'm in.
Then again, one of my favorite shows of all time was X-Files, and I'm a big JJ fan so...yeah...

It's high time we get some good episodic TV back on the air. I love Lost, but every new drama that comes to TV now seems to be scripted with these season long arcs and if you miss an episode, you're screwed. I like it that this show isn't relying on you seeing each and every episode. Not that I plan on missing any based on what I saw, but I hope it does well for that reason...just so we can get some more TV producers to green light good episodic TV again.

I thought it was a great premier. Not as good as the lost/heroes premiers but still pretty damn good. I actually like the female lead (which is rare for me), she's hot and she's a good actress. Even Passey (Dawson's creek) was pretty good. I'll be back next week but I agree with others that there's a chance this show can lose it's interest fast.

I agree with that...I guess they were going for something different, but the letters look like they are part of the environment in the show. Lame ass idea, if you ask me. Somebody had too much time to dick around with their computer on that one.

As for the ep itself, I liked it even if it was a rather pedestrian offering in terms of predictability within the plot, twists and such.

Thought it was awesome - I had seen the leaked pilot earlier and this version was MUCH better and the music was fantastic... I like the concept, think they've laid some good groundwork for an interesting series and I like the leads and the chemistry they have. I'm sticking with this one. (and I LOVE the 'Panic Room' style location titles)

It was fine when they did it 6 years ago in Panic Room and it's fine here. No more lame than Heroes writing their episode titles on floors, walls, etc.

The one part I didn't like was the car chase which looked like a poor attempt at doing a Bourne style sequence. With a shaky camera and way-too-quick editing to boot.
