One really annoying problem i encounter is after taking the griffon ride to another zone, I get really bad framerate (or lag).
To fix it, I have to logout and log back into the game, which is a real pain.
Anybody else experience this?
Will this be fixed in the next patch?

As far as i know, Groucho is right. The next round of testing should refer to future patches, not the one slated to be released soon. Although the test servers and invitations haven't gone out yet for this one.

In fact, the website STILL has this information: https://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info...estrealms.html
<hr>
They also released details on the upcoming PvP honor system today:
https://www.worldofwarcraft.com/pvp/...cle-part2.html
This will completely change the game as we know it.

Read about the upcoming PvP system and while I'm not too excited about the rewards, the whole rank system and honor system seem really cool. My main gripe with the rewards is you have to buy them. Why should you have to buy something you've earned...its a reward for reaching a goal in PvP. Don't understand that. Interested to see how their PvP system will compare to Dark Age of Camelot and can it top Mythic for best PvP in an MMO? I'll have to admit that I've been somewhat bored of doing nothing but questing...miss those days playing Dark Age where when you didn't want to PvE you could head out to the Battlegrounds and PvP. If Blizzard can fill this void and do it successfully I'll be one extremely happy gamer!

Somebody (I'm guessing Captain Marvel) found my new WoW blog and "outed" me as being from this board within a few minutes of me putting it up!
Anyway, I deleted the comment...not because it wasn't appreciated...but because I didn't want a bunch of folks from the Blizzard boards coming here and wrecking havoc.

Sorry about that... I didn't even think of it causing trouble, but in retrospect I should have.

I can tell you it is much harder.
You won't be the one ganking. You will be the gankee.
There are lots of high lvl people with nothing better to do so they go into the low lvl areas and you don't have a chance because they will kill you with 1 or 2 hits.
Instances are very popular in these servers because it is one of the few safe places to play.
Be warned that it can be a frustrating experience.
To me, it doesn't seem right that someone 20-40 lvls above you can attack you.

The voice chat program is probably Ventrilo or Teamspeak. I think those are the two most popular for gaming.
My main character is a lvl 58 warlock on Ner'zhul, which is PvP. For anyone interested in starting out on a PvP server, I would recommend that you choose one of the new realms unless you know you can get into a good guild on one of the older servers.
Generally, you just have to accept that you'll be doing a lot more corpse runs than on a PvE server. One of the really handy things about having a second computer while playing WoW is I can watch TV shows on it while I corpse run. When I get ganked by that rogue who backstabbed me while I was in the middle of fighting a mob, it helps to watch a bit of arrested development or simpsons or something to lighten my mood.
Generally, I find that it helps to try and keep the quest log full with several quests in different zones. On any given night a certain area may turn into a war zone where each faction will kill opposing players on sight. You'll get almost no questing done in such conditions, so your only choices are to join in on the PvP battles of go elsewhere.
Keep in mind though that lowbies in PvP battles get targeted first. Oddly enough, the players that seem to enjoy PvP the most also tend to prefer the lopsided fights.
All that having been said, I think PvP servers are more fun. It's sort of like the wild west in towns like Booty Bay or Gadgetzan (as long as you don't have shitheads exploiting the roof). In contested areas, there's always this uneasy truce and it often just takes one player to set it all off.
I've seen Booty Bay where roughly equal numbers of Alliance and Horde will be going about their business. But then one guy will attack another (usually due to longstanding personal or guild grudges) and then players from both sides will start to pile on and in just a few minutes you have chaos, mayhem, and skeletons everywhere.
Also, I sort of like it that the reason I don't gank Alliance lowbies is because of choice and not because I can't.

I've started an alt NE on Gorefiend (PvP). My main is a Tauren on Aggramar. I've found the PvP aspect to be a real thrilling addition to the game. I'm not one for ganking other players, but running through contested zones can really get my heart pounding, especially when I start seeing bodies and skeletons everywhere. I moved to PvP because I have some good friends who have been playing on Gorefiend for awhile, and they hooked me up with a great guild. If I didn't have them, I couldn't imagine having as much fun as I am now.

I have an alt on a PvP server. It's not the best situation for me, because I have very limited play time. I want to log in, play for a little while, and log out. If I wander into the wrong place it can completely blow the whole evening.
I do look foward to the new PvP honor system and Battlegrounds, and will be participating. But I don't have interest in random PvP for the sake of PvPing.
Speaking of PvP, for those who haven't read it, here's a hilarious thread on the Warsong boards: The Big Hit. Basically, this guy has started his own "Hitman for Hire" company, and the results are hilarious.

Teamspeak was the program i was trying to think of.
Maybe i'll make an undead or tauren warroir to play on a PVP server. I dont play enough as it is to keep my main and alt out of the blue

One of the coolest things about WoW is all the little easter eggs, quirky humor, and hilarious animations sprinkled throughout the game world. Of course, I didn't get or see even one tenth of all the ones that have been listed in this thread:

I created an alliance alt on one of the new PvP servers, Frostmane. There was a huge raid on Redridge last night. I'm level 29 so the horde were all generally around my level. Most of them level 25-35, with a few low 20's and 40's. It was about 2-3 hours of fun. I feel sorry for the dudes questing in the area though.
The beauty of fair PvP battles shines on new servers.
Something amazing happened though. A level 57 Orc hunter showed up. That was almost ridiculous to me. The server came up maybe 2-3 weeks ago?
