Woo, I found my first epic item this afternoon. Here's a picture of the Skullflame Shield. I got it off a level 58 Chillwind Ravager in Wintersprings.

Does anyone know of a good site that has a list of quests per area and what level you should be based on class? I started a Night Elf Hunter on Cenarius last night and I am level 9. I currently only have 3 quests to do and none I am able to solo at. I just never had to grind as a human at least not yet.

www.thottbot.com (or is it www.thotbot.com ?) has quests for different areas with the levels.

I seem to have some disappearing items and quests. I had a quest for Gnomeregan called "the day after" that seemed to disappear from my quest lists and i couldnt get it shared to me. I also got a locked box from gnomeregan and the next day it was missing from my bags, weird. I've also seemed to have a few items/money dissappear from the auction house. Yesterday I bid on 3 things with my horde character and today i didnt get any mail telling if i had won or been out bid.

There's some sort of auction house & mailbox bug with certain servers. It's supposed to be resolved today with a restart.

My server isnt on the list. Its been happening for a while. One time my wife's character lot a quest item due to it and had to go back and do part of the quest again. Kind of annoying.

Is there an up to date list of everyone playing and what servers currently? If not I would consider making one, because I would also like to include professions and levels.

Also did Dvd Talk ever start their own guild on any of the servers?

Last question any high level or high enough level mage willing to port my Night Elf from Darnasus(sp?) or Darkshores or Doloran(sp?) or I think I can get to Mithingil (again sp?). I keep trying to get to Stormwind, but they don't make it easy on us and being only level 12 I get killed running through the wetlands. I go by Barrett, yes I know not exactly an Elven name but I got tired of trying things, just send me a tell or reply here.

I'm on the Uther server so if you're on that one I'd be happy to help you out with that port.

Thanks, but I am on Cenarius. Is there any cost to you to port someone? I only ask because if I find someone who will do it for a fee, what would be reasonable?

Yes it does cost money to use the portals. You have to have regeants in order to use the portal spells. The one I would need to port you would cost 20s. So, if you find someone to do it expect to pay at least that.

Ok I definitely don't have the cash. Someone told me a Warlock might be able to summon me. Is that possible? I am unfamiliar with Warlocks and not sure what they can and can't do.

Downloaded the patch rather quickly this morning, took about 15 minutes at over 70 KB/s. I'm leaving the Downloader up while i head to work to share my bandwidth, uploading at around 30 KB/s.

Everyone should post their realm and character info then we can create a 'part 2' to this thread and have the first post have all the info.

Scopes are one of the few things that engineers can make that they can sell profitably. When I need to, I can make 1 or 2 gold a day just from selling Deadly Scopes. Anyone can buy/get them and attach them to their gun/bow themselves.

Engineers can also make guns, but they tend not to sell profitably since they're not particularly good compared to dropped items. The exception is the Deadly Blunderbuss since it's needed as part of a horde quest in Ashenvale. There's a couple other quest items that are made by engineers and those sell pretty well also. The "Chasing Amy" quest in Un'Goro needs mithril casing and one in Eastern Plaguelands needs hi-explosive bombs and unstable triggers.

I was disappointed at first that engineers couldn't sell their gadgets to everyone, but I actually like it that way now. I have a few trinkets that are pretty handy in PvP like the Cloaking Device (invisiblility for 10 seconds, 1 hr cooldown) which makes for a nice emergency getaway. The net-o-matic gun allows me to snare people which is an ability that my Warlock sorely lacks. The Death Ray hits for 600 to 900 dmg (6 second cast time, 10 min? cooldown) which is nothing to sneeze at and I've seen it crit for well over a 1000. And if I weren't a warlock, I imagine the Deepdive Helmet would be pretty handy too for certain quests.

The fact that not everyone on the server can make use of these gadgets sort of gives me an advantage so I'm more than happy to not have a market (that probably wouldn't be profitable anyway) for these items.

thanks for the info belboz.
I look forward to making these items one day.
Does each item have a different cool time timer?
For example, can I use a target dummy then use the cloaking device immediately afterwards? (they both have a 1 hr cooldown)

I agree. Currently I have:
Barrett - Level 12 Night Elf Hunter - Skinner/Leatherworker - Cenarius
Frazier - Level 12 Human Rogue - Skinner/Leatherworker - Cenarius
Bucho - Level 19 Human Warrior - Mining/Blacksmith - I forget now

I have no problem making leather armor or anything else I can for free, which always seems to surprise people. All I ask is you buy the thread or necessary items besides the leather. I plan on possibly creating a Druid Tailor also. Feel free to send me a tell or private message me here

On a seperate note can you mail or sell your heartstone? I was thinking if I could it would be one way to get my Hunter out of the Elven realm and over to SW or IF.

I don't think that works.

Really, it would just be far easier for you to strip off all your weapons and armor and run for it. Even if you die, you only lose a little time, and you don't take any weapon/armor damage.

I made the run from Ironforge to Darnasses as a level 6 warrior. I died a few times through the wetlands, but it wasnt too bad. The first time you die heading east through the wetlands, use the graveyard fairy to rez you so you'll be about 2/3rds of the way though (unless your ghost appears at the pennisula graveyard near menethil harbor, then dont do it).
i read, over on anandtech forums, about a guy who was a gnome and wanted to get from stormwind to ironforge and didnt know about the tram. He ended up swimming from westfall all the way to menethil harbor, then running through the wetlands and loch modan to ironforge. Said it took him 2.5 hours.

My info:
(main) Lucite - level 34 human mage on Dreanor (normal)(tailoring and enchanting)
(current fav alt) Uxo - Level 12 tauren warrior on Lightning Blade(?)(PvP)(mining/engineering)

I'm in a good guild on dreanor but need horde friends on lightning blade. As you can tell i'm not too hardcore of a player (lot of time just have an hour to play in the evening).

I'll add my Character info as well....

Server: Uther
Realm: Alliance

Blaskar - Level 44 Human Mage
Talent Spec: Arcane/Fire

Professions:
Tailoring(281), Enchanting(265), First Aid(244)

I do have several alts which I hardly ever play because I don't have the time. I did however make a Night Elf Female Huntress named Nalia. I had my main make some Runecloth bags and mailed them to her. So I ran her to the nearest town where I can retrieve mail...Doalanaar(sp?)...and as soon as I get there to retrieve my mail up pops a trade window and some male Night elf gives me 1g and 4-6 slot bags. My first thought was, this guy must think I'm a *female* in real life but I quickly put those thoughts to rest when I responded to his gift with, "Thanks dude!".
