I use an add-on called "Auctioneer." You go to the auction house and it downloads data on all the items currently for sale, and keeps track of how much they sell for.

Then, when you mouseover an item it tells you how much you can probably get in the auction house for it. It also gives some handy other stats, such as vendor price, how many are in a stack, and what professions use the item.

It's pretty slick. Link: http://norgs.internutter.org/auctioneer.htm

Nice! I've just been looking at similar items (for green) normally sorting by level and pricing accordingly.

resources are a little bit more up in the air, but most folks will pay through the nose for instant gratification. I know I just did for armor ;p

I still can't figure out why wool is so expensive in AH.
Wool goes for about 1G - 1.5G on my server.
silk goes for about 45 silvers.
mageweave goes for about 1G.

sometimes wool costs more than both mageweave and silk!

yeah, it's the same on my server, Feathermoon.

At least on my server, it's because one person was buying up all the wool and articficially raising the prices to ridiculous levels. Now, the prices he set seem to be the general standard, even if he's not the seller anymore.

It totally sucks for lower level tailors/first-aid people who need to buy wool, but at least when I get a stack of wool, I try to sell it to someone for a much more reasonable price, outside of the AH, because at this point in the game, I don't have that much need for money.

With the next patch, you'll be able to turn in cloth in exchange for reputation. No telling what that'll do to prices.

Do you know anything more about this? Is it any kind of cloth to any faction, or what?

I think the reason why wool is so expensive is because at those levels, you level so fast that you'll be at silk in no time. So you barely get much wool. That's been the case in every character I made. I end up having to farm wool in the end.

I had a great weekend as well. My mage is a 3rd of a level away from 40 and i have enough cash to get a horse. I've mainly been playing my dwarf priest. My priest hit 31 after doing most of the wetlands quests and a couple instances (stockades and gnomeregan). I still havent killed VanCleef. i can never seem to get in a group that sticks it out. I did get the hydrocane from gnomer, tho, which i really wanted. breath underwater? forget about it.
ive been making like 5 gold a day playing the gem market. When ever i get the chance i check for moss agate, moonstone, fused wiring and engineering recipes. I buy and moss agate and moonstones that are 30 silver or less (buyouts) and relist for 75-85 silver (buyout). Sometimes i find an auction for 4 moss agates or moonstones for 50 silver and easily make 2.5 gold off it. Also fused wiring will easily sell for 1.5-2 gold so i buy any thats a gold or less and relist it for more. Engineering recipes are great as well, i can pick up some for 5-10 silver that will always sell for 75 silver, or pick up ones like Deadly Scope for a gold and sell for 2-3 gold. I think i've made about 20-30 gold this weekend by doing this. Its pretty random, though.

Any druid's out there?
Does the Druid's Nature's grasp works against both melee and range attackers?
If I turn on Nature's grasp. will it affect anyone casting a spell on me or attacking me with a bow/gun?

Well after 56 Levels I finally got my first purple drop. I was pretty excited about it...wish it would have been something useful for a Mage. Was soloing these Tar Elementals in Un'Goro Crater when it dropped. Here's what I got....

Shadowblade

I first offered it to give it to a friend who plays a Rogue but he turned it down. So, now I'm going to see what I can get for it on the AH.

That was VERY nice of you to offer it to a friend. You can pretty much squeeze 100G out of the AH for any purple. I got 80 or so gold a few weeks ago for a pair of lvl 37 purple gloves (that I wish I'd kept, in retrospect... they had +attack power (with more against the undead) and +crit%.

i meant "forget about it" for the hydrocane because its the best, you never have to deal with the underwater meter again.

I stayed up late and hit level 40 and bought my horse last night. Now i have nothing to save up my gold for (i guess epic mount, but 900g will take a while).

Yeah that's pretty generous of you to offer up the Shadowblade. Not sure about other servers but on mine, that dagger's buyout is routinely set at around 300G on the AH. Go big my friend and see what you can get!

Ran through part of the Scarlet Monistary this weekend. Did the library 4 times so my mage could get the Illusionary Rod. Luckily i have some good guildies that made this possible with out a fuss. Also killed Herod in the armory. Pretty cool when all the weak guys run out after you kill Herod. Luckily Blastwave can take them all out instantly. Next weekend will have to try to do the cathedral part to finish the "light" quest. Got my mage wand from the lady in dustwallow marsh. Now that i have a mount i can start getting back into upping my tailoring(210) and enchanting(165)

You'll be a pro at SM soon enough. Me and 2 buddies 3-manned Cathedral and Armory. 42 rogue, 41 warrior, and I was the 40 Shaman. A full party seems overkill after that.

No kidding. I would kill to have one Hearthstone per continent. Even if the second one cost me a 1 G reagent.

I agree that they're patching today (saw the notes on patchtimer.org, and on the WoW-Europe site's boards), but I've been completely unable to get into the WoW main site.
