IGN has up 20 minutes of ingame footage of Oblivion:
http://media.xbox360.ign.com/media/7...0&RSSid=655253
It looks like it was taken from the PC version, so going by what they have said earlier, it should look even better on the Xbox360.
From Anandtech -
Higher quality footage available here :

DVD Iso (720p) available through a torrent here :

Holy crap, Visual Concepts is always impressive in the graphics department. I can't wait to see what they do with Top Spin 2.
Gaming sites will be covered in X05 info in a couple days. For those with G4, ATOC will be covering the show Tuesday through Thursday.
An interesting article from IGN: http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/655/655273p1.html

IGN learned that all developers have submitted their final code to Microsoft's Quality Assurance team, and the final stages of development - tweaking, polishing, bug-fixing, and optimizing -- has commenced. With an approval stamp from Microsoft's QA team, dev teams can wrap up their games, press gold discs, and begin the manufacturing process. Last, IGN has learned that many Xbox 360 games will ship to retail stores at least one week prior to launch. Meaning that many retailers will receive games 360 games Tuesday, November 15. Will they sell them early too? Several, but not all, publishers had indicated yes.

I will have to check out the Oblivion footage when I get home...I have it pre-ordered (GameRush was good to me, allowed me to switch some pre-orders)
I now have paid-in-full at GR:
-Oblivion
-The Outfit
-Call of Duty 2
-Quake 4
I will switch probably 3 more, since I have no need for my XBOX games really....I just have to choose what I want, probably Gears of War, Madden and Ghost Recon 3 (I have to figure out what I want)

IGN has a very small 'hands on' article for Perfect Dark Zero, so far they don't impressed at all.
The game runs in 720p, so the imagery is sharp and clean, and the action ran at about 25 FPS. We were assured that the frame rate would settle into a smooth solid 30 FPS in the final build. Although the slower frame rate could have affected the turn radius speed, I couldn't tell. But circling around, either left or right, took a lot longer than I wanted it to. The controls also felt a little sluggish, neither as smooth nor as fast as I had hoped for. Again, I'm not sure if this was because I played a preview build, the frame rate was a little slow, or that's just the game plays. We'll have to wait and see how the final builds turns out.
Perfect Dark Zero looks good and is certainly much improved over the sporadic leaks we've seen and those early, rather bleak, screenshots. But even the build we played didn't convince us that Perfect Dark is entirely ready. It looks like Rare will work until the last possible day to put all the finishing touches on it, and in the meantime, we can say it was fun while it lasted. I'm not ready to say it's the killer-app we were hoping it would be. Hopefully, we'll be able to play a near-final or final build in the next month, at which time I hope to have better, cheerier news.

Microsoft reveals game lineup for Xbox 360 launch
1 hour, 16 minutes ago
LOS ANGELES/AMSTERDAM (Reuters) - Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq:MSFT - news) on Tuesday unveiled a partial roster of video games for the launch of its new Xbox 360 game console next month.
Microsoft confirmed that exclusive Xbox 360 titles available for the holiday season will include the action-adventure game "Kameo: Elements of Power" and the much-anticipated shooting game "Perfect Dark Zero," both from Microsoft-owned Rare.
"Project Gotham Racing 3" from independent game studio Blizzard Creations also should be available in time for Christmas, Microsoft said at a press event in Amsterdam.
Electronic Arts Inc. (Nasdaq:ERTS - news), the world's biggest video game publisher, earlier this month said it will have five titles ready for the Xbox 360 launch. Those titles are "Need for Speed Most Wanted," "FIFA 06: Road to FIFA World Cup," "NBA Live 06," "Tiger Woods PGA Tour 06" and "Madden NFL 06."
Microsoft said it will announce more launch titles in the coming weeks.
The Xbox 360, Microsoft's next-generation gaming machine, will be released in the United States and Canada on November 22. The standard version of the console will sell for $300, while a package with extras, including a hard drive that lets users play some games for the original Xbox, will be $400.
Analysts, who expect Microsoft to ship about 2 million Xbox 360s this year, have been closely watching the lineup of games for the console because cutting-edge games help drive console sales by the hard-core gamers who are first to buy new machines.
Microsoft, the second-largest maker of video game consoles, expects 15 to 20 games on the market for the Xbox 360 launch. Just over a half dozen games were available when the original Xbox hit the market in 2001.
The company said its 2006 Xbox 360 game lineup will include "Crackdown" from Real Time Worlds, whose team includes developers involved in the creation of the blockbuster "Grand Theft Auto" franchise. Other expected 2006 titles include Epic Games Inc.'s "Gears of War," Silicon Knights' "Too Human" and "Mass Effect" from BioWare Corp.

I just want to know if Oblivion is set as a definite launch. I know it looks positive, but you never know.
Between PGR3, Oblivion, Tony Hawk, and Kameo, I am definitely ready for launch.

So, anyone looking forward to the Madden-less Madden for 360? I found it kind of odd that they removed Madden and Michaels from the commentary. Sounds like they are going with the "on-the-field" sound and stadium annoucer for it.

I think that the new Madden sounds pretty awesome.
To me, it's completely unbelievable that today, about 6 weeks from launch they STILL don't know which games are going to be available! Also, they are cutting dynsasty mode out of NBA Live? Really? Is that so difficult to program?
I am buying this thing on launch, and have already pre-paid for about 6 games, but I am getting pretty concerned that all the launch titles are going to be rushed-out crapfests. Anyone else? Will there even be FOUR games worth buying at launch? If these things feel rushed and under-developed, I'm not going to buy them.

Yeah, I have 4 games pre-ordered also, with a few more on the way (thank you GameRush). I know they cut a lot out of Madden also. They still have Franchise mode, but they cut out the Dynasty mode where you create a player and take him through the ranks...which I could care less about. I'm beginning to wonder how much they can really put on a disc with it all being HD now....I wonder if they cutting corners becuase of that, or becuase of time constraints. Anyways..I'm still looking forward to the 360....
I currently have these games on pre-order:
Oblivion - I'm not a big RPG fan, enjoyed Fable though and the hype got to me
Call of Duty 2 - Looks to be the killer FPS
The Outfit - Seems like Mercenaries, which I really enjoyed
Quake 4 - Basically switched my XBOX order to 360 on this one.
I'll still pre-order Madden, Gears of War and one or two more....probably get Perfect Dark and PGR3 also,we'll see on those though.
