Apparently Circuit City is having a pre-order on Friday at 2 PM EST.

Ok, now I'm not mad, but I'm not happy either... I'm in LIMBO.

Some people have reported getting emails from Gamestop.com in regards to their bundle orders. It says that Preorders before 10/11 would be shipped out on 11/21. Well, I ordered on 10/11, so I reluctantly asked where I stood. The reply was:
Dear Customer,

Thank you for writing to us at GameStop.com

You are right between guaranteed first shipments and second shipments,
so it is truthfully hard to say. I would like to say yes, you are first
shipment, but I can not guarantee this at this time. We apologize for
the inconvenience.

We value your business and hope to see you soon at GameStop.com
Ugh. So now I have to hope that a few people in front of me don't have enough money on their cards for their payments to process.

Wow, talk about some crappy packages. You don't need the remote for either of the premium packages, nor the memory card for the platinum. Plus NFS already got a mediocre review.

Getting two racing games in one bundle is a bit silly too.

Here is the Xbox 360 Setup Guide in PDF format:

http://svartifoss2.fcc.gov/prod/oet/...ive_or_pdf=pdf

It's got a link in there if you haven't set up your Windows Media connect software yet. That's if you want to stream music, pictures, etc to the 360.

I agree, but if it's like Best Buy's pre-order, you can exchange what you don't want for something else.

No, there will not be anything on the box denoting whether an Xbox game is 360-compatible.
Xbox.com: Will there be any notification on future Xbox game boxes that denotes whether or not they will be playable on Xbox 360?

Todd: No, Xbox.com/games is the ultimate destination to find information about which games will run on Xbox 360.

Thanks! I read the article but must have missed that line.

FYI, for those thinking about the Sam's club route. Members should know this already, but if someone is thinking about going to get a membership just for this you should know that they DO NOT take credit cards. I know this is a fairly large purchase and a lot of people will probably be going that route. They only take cash, check, or debit.

According to Joystiq.com, those aren't pre-orders. You can have one at 2pm EST on Friday.

You are correct. They accept Discover and Walmart credit cards, but not ordinary Visa or Mastercard credit cards.

I'm confused. So you can order it online and they will ship it to you right away, or is this an in store thing?

I think it is clear that the content on the CC web site is meant to indicate that one will be able to order it online starting Friday at 2 p.m. The CC flyer in the newspaper today says the 360 will be "in stores" on 11-22-05. However, some people have concluded that the web site means that CC stores will be selling the 360 come Friday. I can guarantee that will not be the case, at least on a nationwide basis. Individual stores (CC and otherwise) may break street date, but no one is going to do it as a company wide policy. MS would be all over that.

I know this has been discussed in part already, but if you had to pick just one 360 game for the launch release, what game would it be, and why?

That's what I figured, it's simply a pre-order. Whoever wrote that article got everything all messed up.

I would wait and read the reviews. That being said, right now, Madden, CoD 2, PGR3, and PD0 seem to be the leading candidates, with Kameo also in the mix. Depends on what kind of games you like.

I am also waiting for some reviews but right now I am looking at CoD2, PD0, Kameo, and Madden--in that order. I will probably get CoD2 or PD0 + Kameo. I like adventure games (a dying genre unfortunately), and Kameo seems to have an element of that.

Kameo should be at my house any day now.
I also plan on getting PDZ: Limited and PGR3.

I just got back from Wal-Mart and was pleased to see a few accessories out at my location. I picked up a wireless controller since I know I'm going to be doing so co-op stuff. I almost bought a memory card but passed. I might see if my one friend wants to split the cost of one so we can download content from kiosks.

I remember being stunned by the Wavebird but this controller is simply amazing. I didn't get a real feel for it with the shitty setup they have had at Wal-Mart but I feel much better about it now. The X and Start buttons are still a little too close for me so I better get used to it real fast. I know I'll be messing with the guide button so much that I'll probably need new batteries by the 22nd.

A memory card is probably going to be a must for my group. Probably split the cost as well. That is the only way to transfer Live accounts to one box.

Anyone pre-ordered from GAMERUSH? I was #1 on the list....they are not sure if tehy were doing a midnight launch. (I would think YES, since they close at midnight, maybe just stay open until 1:00...they only have 10 to sell anyways)

Also, Condmened seems to be a GOOD launch game....looks very interesting. Here is what I'll be getting come launch and soon after:
-Condemned
-Perfect Dark Zero
-Madden 06
-Tiger Woods 06
-Call of Duty 2
-Quake IV
-The Outfit
-Gears of War
-Oblivion

All paid in full at GameRush...plus, a few more in the near future. Hopefully I can pick some up this week.
