Oops! Thought when he said "guy movies" he was referring to Forgetting Sarah Marshal, 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up. My bad.

I just checked the box office figures, and Box Office Mojo says the production budget was $80 million. ???? More like $80.
Hehe - I think we're confusing movies here. Although a movie like EDtv does make one think the "end of days" is coming.

The word has started to hit distributors that September 30 will see the release of three of Judd Apatow's comedies by Universal. "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," "Knocked Up," and "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" will come separately and in a "Judd Apatow 3-Pack".

MSRP should be $39.98 for day-and-date "Forgetting Sarah Marshall", $29.98 for the other two, and $89.98 for the box set.

The Digital Bits said today that there's a good chance Iron Man will release on 9/30. September is becoming a pricey month.

So is Shawshank still on for this fall? I haven't seen anyone mention it in ages.

The release date was set for November a while ago. I don't recall if it was ever officially announced, but I imagine as we get closer, we'll get some kind of press on it in the August-September timeframe.

Let's don't limited it to just September. These damn Blu-Ray's are killing me. I just put one of my kidneys up on Ebay. In the description, I told them I'm a social drinker. Shhh!

Yeah, the BD releases are getting better and better. And I'm especially excited about the Fall. You just know "Hellboy II", "Indy 4", "The Fall" and others are soon to be announced. Just, wow!!

Cool Hand Luke, The Omen, L.A. Confidential... the September list goes on and on. Even if you don't side with popular opinion on some of these, just about anyone should be able to find some good stuff for that month.

I think we're in the middle of a pretty great one, personally. I've been obsessively buying DVDs (with HDM now in the mix) for right at a decade, and June 2008 marked my highest single-week-total ever spent on movies.

Agree 100%, June has been a great month for Blu... I'm almost kinda glad the studios are still not releasing a lot more titles, so far I've been able to keep up & get everything I want.

Zodiac and Todd both are "rumored" for the same week in October.
Can't wait for Todd.

What have you been buying? I've ordered Sweeney Todd and There Will Be Blood and that's it. Men in Black looks good though.

Minus titles I was sent to review: Be Kind Rewind, The Professionals, Cloverfield, Dirty Harry, The Longest Day, Patton, There Will Be Blood, The Sand Pebbles, and the third season of Weeds.

To be fair, I hadn't seen Be Kind Rewind before (sitting down to watch it now), so whether or not it's any good, I have no idea. The third season of Weeds was kinda lousy, so you can scratch that off any list of implied quality as well.
