That's his clan insignia. I'm guessing they made it so bright so that it's not totally obscured when they darken the image in post. The same happened in the first movie.

I'm ambivalent towards the Willis poster because it could easily be a poster for RED 2 since it doesn't particualrly scream G. I. Joe: Retaliation (text notwithstanding).

I'm sure this has already been discussed, but I haven't read the entire thread. I don't get why

Storm Shadow is being used in the marketing for this movie. I seem to remember him meeting a pretty convincing death in the first one.

It should seem obvious that something happens regarding that, right?

I don't know how "convincing" it was either, as I remember him getting stabbed and falling into the watery ice. Who knows what happens after that.

You're right. I just went and re-watched the scene on Youtube™ and I guess someone could survive that. But it is meant to make you think he dies so why wouldn't they make his return a surprise in the second movie?

Because he's popular as hell, fans wanted him back, and the marketing geniuses decided to milk it for all its worth.

Similar to how Duke was hated by a vocal group of fans and he's being downplayed in the marketing. Although I liked him in the first movie, I'm surprised Duke even got a poster for the sequel.

I must've forgotten to post it. Not a fan of Lady Jaye so I must've overlooked it. Sorry.

Over at Blu-Ray.com folks were commenting about how her mole was removed from the two Lady Jaye posters. I is a silly bit of unecessary photoshopping, to be sure.

About the Korean poster:

That Korean poster makes it look like Storm Shadow changes sides. That whole storyline was my favorite part of the entire comic book series.
