Dr. Strange isn't a god, so how is he going to offend religious people?

It does.

And I love that Apollo/Superman page - "You hit me with... sunlight?"

More importantly, what's up with the tactical-neck (the "tactical turtle neck" ala Archer)?

If you look at all the Jim Lee-designed Justice League, they all have that v-neck. What would you rather have, that or the fad of the 90s, more pouches?

How about Nightwing's original "disco" costume with the big ass popped collar?

Nightwing's disco costume actually fits in pretty well with Perez's other designs for the New Teen Titans: Starfire's bikini, Cyborg's underwear look, Jericho's hair...

That's not Night Wing, it's Master Dick!

I loved Nightwing's disco collar look. It was unique, it looked cool, and it really underscored his status as the DC universe's world's greatest acrobat.

I still say Nightwing's role should be that of the 1950s Batman; a master crimefighter/detective taking on wacky aliens, oversized appliances, kooky dimensions, over-the-top villains, etc.

I liked the disco costume too. I didn't even realize how "disco" it looked until I read about it on the internet decades later.

Have you been reading the Grayson comic lately? It is kind of 1950ish. Grayson joined Spyral, which is a kind of 1950ish James Bond spy organization.

Re: Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) (D: Snyder; S: Gadot)

It's fun to call it a disco costume, but Perez designed it in 1984, LONG after the disco craze had died down in America. It's really more of a circus-acrobat inspired outfit than anything else.

Not reading Grayson (or any DC/Marvel comics anymore). I heard about the changes and they sound like bad news to me. Dick Grayson is such an insanely great character but Didio and Co. never seem to know what to do with him.

DiDio's wet dream is to kill Grayson. Sort of got the chance during Forever Evil.

I was leery about the changes too at first, but the Grayson comic has been pretty fun.

Comic readers are a funny bunch. We complain that comics never change the status quo, but yet when comics actually do make a change we then turn around and complain that things are changing.

I wonder if back in the 80s people were complaining about Dick becoming Nightwing. "No this is the worst news ever!!! Dick should always be Robin!!!"

Not really. His "death" in Forever Evil was a fake out. This whole Grayson Agent of Spyral thing is fun, but it's not going to last. He will almost certainly return to his Nightwing role in a year or two. Just like when Dick was Batman for a year or two while Bruce was "dead" following Final Crisis. The status quo hardly ever changes for long.

Didio was on record for wanting to kill off Nightwing in Infinite Crisis. He found the character "redundant" because they already had a Batman and a Robin. In other words: durp-dee-doo.

Tarantino's movies give me everything I want and nothing I don't. Like a full meal.

Yes, I know. I'm just saying that the Forever Evil event the previous poster mentioned isn't the same. Dick Grayson didn't really die in that event. He's dead to the public eye, but he is actually still alive and still has his own comic. He's just an undercover agent of Spyral now and not a public hero like Nightwing.

That's why The Valeyard said DiDio "sort of" got the chance. You're clarifying something that was confusing to no one.

I don't think so...

A common thought experiment for many years in fandom was if all the Avengers together could defeat Superman in battle.

What was the consensus among comic book readers?

Speaking of DC/Marvel mashups, I want to see Hulk with a Red Lantern ring.

I wish Marvel still held rights to the Transformers comics. Cos this is the DC versus Marvel sequel I'd like to see.

And, yes, this was one of the ideas planned before the New 52 fucked up everything.

There is no consensus among comic readers. Everyone differs in their opinion, sometimes wildly so. For example, some people even believe that Superman has no butthole. Seriously. There are actually some readers who argue that his body is 100% efficient at converting everything to energy and produces no waste, so he therefore has no butthole. It's insane some of things comic readers argue about.

DC does have the rights to He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. They have been producing some He-Man comics, including a crossover with the DC superheroes.

That sounds nostalgic and cool. But I doubt it'd be as epic as Optimus Prime as a Green Lantern or Superman versus Unicron (I'm assuming that's his hand about to grasp the Earth).

I wouldn't want a crossover on film but I'm honestly surprised that no one has attempted a new He-Man and the Masters of the Universe film. I think I read something about a proposal for a new film a while back but nothing has come of it that I'm aware of.

There have been several attempts but none panned out. My absolute favorite was Grayskull: The Masters of the Universe by Justin Marks. It had a Conan the Barbarian vibe to it . My only gripe was how they offed
Spoiler:
Evil-Lyn
so abruptly. There seemed like there was more story to tell with that character.

Grayskull the Masters of the Universe (Justin Marks) by Jeremy R. Duff
