does a +1 to intellect really make any difference to training rates? I guess someone thought it was usefull because it sold at the AH. The difference between the horde and alliance AHs is crazy. There seems to be so much more stuff on the alliance one. Its good when you're looking for something but bad when you're selling something. The horde one can be bad because generic things you want may not always bee on there. When i was around level 10 i wanted some minor healing potions and there werent any on the auction block when i looked. crazy.

I heard that there are alot more people playing alliance than horde.
That may be the reason why.
It play a horde on a pvp server and it sure seems like we're always outnumbered and constantly getting ganked.

I think you can safely say Alliance outnumber Horde on any server. I never heard of one instance otherwise.

DaveNinja, that +1 intellect mail you found, well that's just more proof IMO that Blizz spent the majority of the time developing Alliance than Horde. And as a result, that mail was a slip-up that was overlooked. Hey, that generalization may be a stretch but anyone who's played both factions will tell you Alliance has better content and implementation. But that armor isn't a total loss since an enchanter can disenchant it.

So who else is annoyed about the new maintenance schedule? They went from having no weekly maintenance, to 4-hour weekly maintenance, and now 6-hour weekly maintenance! Huh?! You'd think that after 5 months since release the servers would be more stable.

I wish Blizzard would publish some official stats. If wowcensus was to be believed, the last time I checked it, Alliance seemed to vastly outnumber Horde on just about every server except my main one, Ner'zhul. There, the two were roughly equal with the Horde having a slight edge. But, I've got my doubts about the wowcensus data.

It is one of the reasons I have stuck, if you call it that, to alliance. There just seeems like there is a lot to do and when I tried starting an Orc warrior I just couldn't get into it. Maybe I need to try again, who on horde side resembles the Night Elves? The reason I ask is I tend to prefer bow to gun so far and if I start a Hunter or Warrior I want to be able to train in bow.

I wish there was a way to transfer characters or even email off realm. I have a level 19 warrior on Dalaran that I never play and I would love to loot him for my main. I just can't dump him though since he has a bunch of gold and equipment.

Trolls are kind of like night elves. they have big ears and are on the lean side (compared to orcs and tauren). Trolls hunters also start with bows instead of guns. If you start a horde character on a PvP realm, go with Lightnings Blade. I have a level 17 tauren warrior on there and have done all the orc/troll early quests. People seem to be nice on there as well.

The Patch notes for 1.4.0 have apparently been leaked:

Those patch notes are unconfirmed and are most likely fake. Blizzard likes to make small changes very slowly over many patches. Just look at the patch history for any of their other games as well as World of Warcraft. To make this many changes, so fast is totally against their MO.

I could always be wrong, but until Blizzard posts officially what the new patch is going to cover, I don't believe those patch notes are real.

There are a couple reasons I don't think they are fake. One, because Blizzard has not officially denied that these are not real, they have said that people should not post patch notes from other locations, as they cannot verify their validity. Normally they will just come out and say 'those patch notes are not real', and leave it at that.

Another reason is for the shear amount of detail. It would take one person many, many hours to acurately fake so many changes to quests and specific npcs.

As for their patch history of their other games, well that doesn't really matter. You can look at the patch history of WoW and it is proven that 90% of their patches are huge, and make a huge amount of changes. Granted, they have said they want to change this, but I am guessing that will take time.

Blizzard has been deleting threads that contain the notes in it, and yesterday they finally came out and all but admitted that they were genuine, just not the finalized version. They're real, just a rough draft of the actual notes that are forthcoming.

Right. Blizzard has no problems saying something is false when it is false. There was a thread yesterday about a new super crossbow, and Blizzard came right out and said it was a fake.

Fix... the... damn... pet... run... speed... bug. Dammit. This is seriously getting old.

Nothing I can see in there that would make me quit. Nothing that "breaks" a class, although some players will need to change their strategies.

In MMORPG's things change over time. At least Blizzard allows you to respec.

Yeah, I was a little confused about the nerf reaction. This patch seems pretty mild to me... the worst part seems to affect Warlocks, with the seduce change.

But seriously... petrunspeedbugpetrunspeedbugpetrunspeedbugpetrunspeedbugpetrunspeedbugpetrunspeedbugpetrunspeedbugpe trunspeedbugpetrunspeedbugpetrunspeedbugpetrunspeedbugpetrunspeedbugpetrunspeedbugpetrunspeedbugpetr unspeedbugpetrunspeedbugpetrunspeedbugpetrunspeedbugpetrunspeedbugpetrunspeedbugpetrunspeedbugpetrun speedbug ... fix it!

I was just joking with the "nerf quit" comment. I'll never quit. I probably would never notice most of the "nerfs" tha people complain about. I guess im not hardcore enough. A lot of the time i go for a weapon i like over one with a slightly higher DPS.

Rogues are right up their for best 1on1 PvP class. I hear good chatter about Priests (who are shadow specced). I hear lots of whines about Shamans, but I haven't had much experience with them.

As for race... undead have it pretty good, due to Will of the Forsaken. Tauren have a nice bonus in their health.

unfortunately i've played hunter way too long. He's gonig to be worthless when he hits level 60.

maybe i'll start up a rogue

i've also heard shadow priests are pretty good.

priests are cool because you can spec to healing priest and always be able to join parties and level up quickly, then at level 60 respec to shadow and kick butt in PvP. you should go with LIghtning Blade realm if you're doing horde PvP.

I have a shamen on a pvp server.
shamens are actually one of the best pvp classes because of their instant cast shock spells.
They also have a number of spells to help them get away - ghost wolf, earth bind, frost shock.
IMO, hunters are one of the worse because they are only good when they attack first. If they get jumped, they are as good as dead.
(I also have a lvl 60 hunter on a non-pvp server)

I restarted and my main is now on a PvP server (L40 druid on Gorefiend currently). The best PvP class type is probably a rogue, but don't expect to be able to join a high level guild or be invited to any end-game raids. Rogues account for about 50% of all class types on my server. Priests rank right up there, and they definitely don't have that problem. Hunters are pathetic, warriors are even more pathetic. Druids aren't very good at fighting, but they're excellent at hiding and running away. I can't beat a shaman. The horde bitches about pallys. One of my buddies plays a mage, and he's almost unstoppable. Warlocks are good at the mid to higher levels with their fear and their pets. Did I miss anyone?

For race, undead have some nice anti-fear abilities, and taurens have war stomp. Night Elves have shadowmeld, and disappearing in definitely a good idea in PvP.

It sucks that i've wasted so much time with my hunter. With 2 kids (one a newborn), you don't get many opportunities to play, so my time is pretty limited.

If i'm going to go horde, do i do undead mage or undead shadow priest?

It all depends on how you want to play. With a priest, don't expect to do any offense when grouped. You'll basically cast a shadow word pain on the target and watch your groups health and heal as needed.

With mage, you'll be the crowd control guy. Poly an add and nuke away. If there's too many adds, spam the arcane explosion.
