Man, I hate Dead On Arrival. Since my roommate was out of town during the 3 day weekend, I decided to do some Rock Band marathoning, to try and beat that song on expert drums. I must have played that song 100 times. I did get better at it, but I still couldn't beat it. I was consistantly getting to around 30-48% for a while, which is better than the 15-20% I was getting to before. I thought I was going to beat it at one point, when I was about 83% through with overdrive ready, but I failed before I could activate it. Haven't got that far since. I think I played too much and tired myself out, since I started getting worse after that. I think it's time to take a few days off and maybe try again this weekend.

If anything good came out of playing that damn song, it's that I got better at drumming in general. I went back and played some songs that used to give me trouble. I was able to 4 and 5 star some songs that I used to barely 3 star. So, that was cool. I'm going to beat that song one of these days. I think that song is now my officially most played song ever in any of the GH games or Rock Band. It's also now my officially most hated song ever.

Hopefully not. I'm all for promoting a new album and don't mind Disturbed but give us two 'classic' cuts and one new track.

Anyone that expects something besides Disturbed on Tuesday has been deluding themselves for the last month or so. There will be at least 2 Disturbed songs released on 6/3 for the new album. Seems likely they'll just throw a 3rd on there from a previous album. I can't name a Disturbed song for the life of me, but I'm sure there's a "popular" one.

Now it is possible there will be 5 songs released, the 2 Disturbed and 3 unannounced, but I just don't see that happening. The only thing it has going for it is the BB code is for 2 Disturbed songs (320 points) and not a 3-song pack (440 points). Of course that may just be a way to get us to pay the full price for the "one song we already know" from Disturbed.

Anyway... 6/3 is my 30th birthday and I had been hoping for a nice present from Harmonix. Guess they don't love me like I love them.

One song I think would be awesome for Rock Band is the new Judas Priest single "Nostradamus". I've heard it a few times on the radio and I think it would be a lot of fun on all instruments.
