I haven't seen him in anything else, so I don't have Tatum hate specifically. I just thought he was flat-out terrible in this. I enjoyed Marlon Wayans more, if that tells you anything. At least he acted like he wanted to be there and was interested in the material. They could have replaced Tatum with a cardboard cutout and gotten a better performance.

And I guess I agree with what you're saying. I would prefer recasting to killing off Duke. He should be the leader of the Joes.

Tatum is excellent in both 21 Jump Street and his smaller part in Haywire.

I thought he was fine in the first GI Joe. As bland as Duke is in the cartoon anyway.

I just think he's a weak actor. He's gotten better but he has no commanding presence. Dug him in 21 Jump Street and he was fine in Haywire. He's just really unmemorable for the most part.

No problem with Tatum anymore. He didn't 100% win me over with Jump Street, but I no longer see him as a talentless pretty boy either. He's way more bearable than any Wayans brother.

I caught the extended 3D preview with Hansel and Gretel, looks like they did a pretty good job with the conversion.

I dont understand why Cobra Commander or Cobra in general has seen little exposure in the trailers. Those 3 shots are blink and you miss in new commercials.

It has me a little concerned. Of all the characters in the franchise, why would CC be the one who has barely gotten more than 2 featured seconds in any of these trailers? They already botched his character once before. I hope that's not the case again. I thought we'd get at least 1 line of dialogue by now.

The first GI Joe was an absolutely God-awful cheesfest of epic proportions. I was watching this and thinking, did the people involved realize how horrendous and cheesy it was while they were making it. I have no hope of this being good. Besides, the Rock is in it, so it's bound to suck.
