If you really wanted to do so, you could probably just pretend that Agents of SHIELD is non-canon. The movies haven't made reference to Coulson being alive, so you could pretend in your own personal canon that he is dead. I doubt the movies will ever actually bring Coulson back.

Also, his death wasn't really "just an act." He was dead.

Cap 2 for me is much bether than The Avengers.

The ratio itself isn't an issue. It is the way Whedon uses the camera and the frame. It's very TV.

I think its a good film but have felt that it was overrated from the get go personally. It takes a while to get going if you ask me and I enjoyed a lot of the films that built up to it and the films that have followed it more. Its not bad but I don't think it really is worth all the hype that it got and continues to get.

I still need to see that. I think Netflix has it.

You think correct. Though it's actually from a spoof of House of Cards shown at the White House Correspondents Dinner.

Avengers was an "okay" movie. Nothing great or fantastic about it at all. The first hour is torture to get through, especially after a second viewing. Winter Soldier is 10 times the film Avengers is.

I will agree that after watching it a good amount the first half does have some pacing issues. I still enjouy it but.. getting critical on it and yeah...

Shit. Didn't realize I was in the Star Wars thread. Over in the Avenger thread, the current discussion is Alfred Pennyworth.

It was one of the best parts of the movie, but he still looked stupid.

I loved DoFP but the in and out (hehe) of Quicksilver was kind of awkward. He was awesome though, looked bad, but he was cool.

There were some MAJOR spoilers leaked today if true, but they also read as if they could be conjecture based on what is already known.

If they are true, this movie and trilogy sound pretty cool and very layered!

Spoiler:
"Sydow is a sort of mentor to Kira, and apparently his true identity is an Act III revelation that will surprise a lot of people. The contention is that he is an existing character from the prequel films, and the revelation of his identity will shock viewers."

I don't see it. I mean, who the hell could he be? Old Ric Olié? Sydow isn't Latin or Maori, so Bail Organa and Boba are probably out of the question (though it wouldn't be the first time Abrams whitewashed an ethnic character).

^ Some people were saying
Spoiler:
he could be Boba Fett, who is now mostly-cyborg since escaping from the Sarlaac Pit.

^ that would be the only character from the prequel that would give that "wow factor"

I'm slightly curious, will Star Wars: Episode VII break all records (not just box-office records, but ALL records)?
