Yeah. Fisher is so unentertaining. Was she any good in anything aside from SW.

More than that, he's completely practical; an actual robot, instead of some CGI bullshit.

An episode of the Rebels animated series shows an Imperial Academy with stormtroopers going through training. They were not clones.

She also just dropped the F-bomb in front of an audience containing children. I love this woman.

I think it'd be great if there was a scene where all the stormtroopers were missing, and then Phasma comes in and starts mowing people down.

I haven't seen her in many other roles but she was always one of the best guests on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. Then again he could pull a great interview out of just about anyone.

Fisher was also pretty funny on her appearance on 30 Rock. That episode also yielded one of my favorite lines ever from that show: "Never go with a hippie to a second location."

I'm with Snake in that the ending of the trailer killed all the momentum for me, but seeing all of the chills, tears, and goosebumps it's giving everybody else, I can understand why they did it. Everything else looked pretty good though. I just wish one of these trailers would give us a sense of what the movie is about.

That's cuz you're attached to that franchise in a way, I guess? I like SW and love ESB. I jive with bits and pieces of RotJ, a film of extremes for both ends of the spectrum. And I properly think the prequels are crap. I dig SW fine and well but the property has more misses than hits in the visual medium. I'm not a SW fan. I just want a good movie out of franchise that has great wealth to explore in. And I'm attracted to that w/ how Disney is handling it from what I hear.
I may love Marvel (and DC) properties too but I'm not so in love w/ it that I can't be critical about it.
The first teaser was better. THIS new one would be better if it had a better ending. The rest of it is solid w/ it's pacing and imagery but that ending is hokey as fuck. It's actually the most boring part of the trailer which is sad cuz those two characters rock. As a whole, it's weaker cuz of the ending, I GET why it's there though. I just wish they could have put something more dynamic than a hokey out of context bit.

I just think that ending is so out of place for a teaser that is rocking it like crazy w/ its confidence.

I don't see how. This film is at least partially nostalgia driven and to a lot of people that one bit at the end probably made that trailer more meaningful than anything else in it. The trailer itself was great but I loved seeing that little moment in there at the end.

I'm not sure that I love the new Storm Trooper armor at this point to be honest. It isn't bad but I much prefer the original armor to be honest. I think the new helmets throw off the look for me more than anything.

Here are the official pictures shown during the opening panel for those that missed them (spoilerized for size):
Peter Mayhew with John and Daisy in disguise at Star Wars Celebration. I remember Hayden Christensen did the same thing (as a stormtrooper) at Celebration II. Nice way for them to soak it all in without getting mobbed.
