I would love an Aquaman movie. He always gets a lot of undeserved hate, but the Aquaman comic is one of the best comics DC is putting out right now. He's actually getting an second ongoing comic in a few months. Who would have thought Aquaman would ever do well enough to get a second ongoing.

Exactly. Aquaman is hot now. I've always liked the character, but I would never have dreamed he would one day lead 2 books. Aquaman would make a great underwater fantasy movie, FX galore

WB needs a Feige. A nerd who can actually make a DC studio within WB. WB doesn't even have something like that. Even worse is that their nerd is Goyer. They need a guy who knows how to appeal to the fandom, get the average person interested in a new project, but also be bold and fresh with its properties. That's Kevin Feige.

That man works his ass off more than whomever else is involved in there.

I think they were hoping that'd be Nolan, but I just don't think he could do it, he doesn't have the mind for it, plus he's too busy with too many of his own things to be a producer who's that hands-on.

The problem with the idea of trying to make Nolan that is that he himself is a man who primarily wants to do his own work. The guy did solid with adapting the mythos in the style he did but he isn't a big nerd for it, nothing wrong with that but it isn't his passion. I'd say give del Toro the reins to it. Guy is a massive nerd, accomplished filmmaker, already is trying to get a DC project going and has had a good relationship with WB from the sound of it. Though that may be mostly a thing with Legendary. But again... That man has so many goddamn commitments and things he wants to do that he's hard to buckle down. It would be good for him though... To have a home base in a studio.

They have someone in place like that. Geoff Johns is head of the media brand of DC entertainment and was supposed to be the liaison between DC and Warner's movie division and is one of the best writers in comics currently. The problem is that he doesn't have any real power and Warner isn't interested in using him. This comes down to the fact that Warner is a studio and studio executives don't typically like letting "outside" people come in and tell them how to do things.

Now by the same token, he's been involved with Arrow, and contributed to the mythology of the show(the Deathstroke mask in the pilot was his idea) and he's also written some of the episodes for the show.

People keep saying "DC needs a Kevin Feige" but he lucked out. Marvel financed all the phase one movies by themselves and they turned out to be popular. If Disney buys Marvel first before they do that Kevin Feige wouldn't even be apart of the Marvel movies and they would most likely be ran similar to how Fox is doing it now.
