A few months ago there was a leak that had gave the general plot of IX. The person that leaked it had previously been correct with his XIII leaks (from what I remember, at least), so imho there’s a decent chance that those spoilers are true. And unfortunately those 4chan leaks line up with what I remember.

The flashing light/Epilepsy thing isn't a huge thing according to my source, they're just trying to be more aware for those people that are affected.

I don't really buy the 4chan reshoot stuff, but I also have to remind myself this is the creative team that....knowing the criticism of how little Phasma was used in TFA, decided to double down and use the character even less in TLJ. It would almost be parody if the rumors were true.... but Lucasfilm has proven to be so inept at this point... I can't discount them completely.

I haven't read any spoilers, so this is just my theory that I want to put in writing before the movie comes out:
I think the dagger Rey is holding in the trailer is an ancient Jedi/Sith artifact, and it's the only thing that can kill Snoke/Palpy for good (yes, I still think Snoke could be Plagueis). Kylo and Rey are both searching for the dagger, and that's why they meet and fight at the Death Star ruins. It's possible that Snoke is after both of them now if he has come back to life. I'm still saying that Palpatine may only be in this as a holocron or ghost teaching Kylo Sith secrets, but it's entirely possible he is using Plagueis' method to cheat death and Snoke really was just a worthless character.

The Director of Photography posted an Instagram pic he shouldn't have... the sheer sloppiness of this Bad Robot production is something else. As divisive as TLJ was...credit where it's due, they were by a mile the most professional and competently run crew.

How bad of a spoiler is it? I want to know if I should go looking for it.

Another official clip released today - very cool, but would've been awesome to be surprised in theaters. Wait if you can!

Wow, Disney is really going overboard with the clips...I think they're releasing TOO much footage. I'm guessing their may be a mini-panic about the franchise...I mean if this fails, Star Wars' future is going to be Disney+ more than theatrical releases (heck, it may be that way already).

I can't say I really have any desire to see this in a theater; I'm just not interested enough to set aside four hours, make a trip to a theater, and spend fifteen dollars on a ticket. The most that I can say I feel about the movie is that I'm a bit curious about how underwhelming it's going to be. And this is the EPISODE IX OF STAR WARS, THE FINAL CHAPTER, and I can't believe how apathetic I am about it. Star Wars has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and Disney has ratfucked it so badly that I can't even be bothered to get off of my ass and see it in the theater, even after I've seen the previous eight (plus Solo and Rogue One) in a theater. This might as well be the ninth Jurassic Park movie for all I care.
I am more interested in seeing how people react to it than anything else.

Yeah, that newest Palpatine clip is pretty awesome. Still hope there’s a good explanation for him being alive though. The spoilers from a couple pages ago is some bullshit if that’s what they go with.

The visuals look spectacular- and not necessarily in a "let's throw everything and the kitchen sink into the frame" way.
I'm sure plenty of mise en scenes will be fun/exciting/chill inducing as well.
If I had to bet I'd say, unlike TLJ, a wide swath of fans will love this one, despite any niggling criticisms they have initially.
I don't think there is any way to tie up this story without some contrived juggling and retconning of some things. Lucas made that inevitable when he made RotJ with it's inane retconning. The PT and ST have been trying to square those idiocies ever since.
FWIW, while I got a chance to listen to the complete score the other day, I never saw the meta tags so I don't know the track titles- but apparently those titles seem to line up with the spoilers posted earlier.

I'm starting to believe the best thing they can do is give the fans a vague answer regarding his return, so they can debate it from their 'point of view.' I know that sounds like cop-out, but the more indepth they get on his return, the more and more it won't make any sense, so I see to leave it ambiguous. I also believe that they should limit him to the 3rd act and go by the old saying 'less is more.' He can kind of 'loom' over the movie (much like Jaws where we didn't see the shark til the 2nd half of the movie), and than save him til the end.
