And since they don't deliver on weekends, I'd have to wait for next Monday, invalidating the whole 2-day shipping anyway...

I hope no one did their pre-order through PC Connection:

PC Connection not shipping PSPs until May 1
Posted Mar 23, 2005, 5:09 PM ET by Barb Dybwad
Reader F. Zilla wrote to relay the information he’d received from a PC Connection representative regarding his PSP pre-order: “I regret to inform you that the ETA for the Playstation PSP has been pushed back to May 1.” A call to customer service confirmed the same, and it seems the reason being that PC Connection is “not high on the priority list” in the supply chain from Sony — or for game consoles in general, for that matter. So unfortunately, those who’ve already placed pre-orders for the unit from PC Connection are either going to be SOL until May or be on the phone trying to get a refund, and everyone else ought to obviously look elsewhere if you’re hoping to pick one up.

Gamespot.com has a bunch of PSP reviews/video reviews online right now.
GOt to get a few more games at eb in the next day or 2.
Been playing Ape Escape today, does have some iffy loadtimes, but overall fun (never played the ps1 title)
Twisted Metal multiplayer is still really fun, and wipeout is really cool.
Currently I have : Ape Escape, Lumines(import), Ridge Racers(import), Wipeout Pure, Twisted Metal, World Tour Soccer, Darkstalkers....

yeah, the load times in ape escape are horrible. Theyre not necessarily excessively long (about 15-20 seconds)but ANYTHING you try to do seems like it requires 2-3 seperate loads to get there.

Hmm... I'm trying to decide between Wipeout Pure and Ridge Racer (only want one racing game) and between Twisted Metal and Darkstalkers. Can you give any recommendations?
Also, I may have missed it, but is any company selling a car adapter for this?

Wipeout and Ridge Racer are both great, I'd honestly recommend both, and I dont even like racing games.
and for the others, I say Twisted Metal if you can play online.

I'm trying to limit myself to three games because of the BB deal. Lumines is in, one (or maybe both) of the racing games, and one other. (Ridge Racer is slightly higher on my list because of the scarcity factor, but wipout's been getting rave reviews) MG Acid's been getting hammered, as has Dynasty Warriors and NBA. DarkStalkers looks pretty good (I love unlockables), but people are complaining it's hard to play. And I haven't seen a review yet for the only EA title I was interested in, NFL Street.

1up just gave NFL Street a 7.5 I think.
Darkstalkers is okay, but its got problems (mainly in the controls), Metal Gear is actually a reallg good game.
For 5, I'd recommend Twisted Metal, Wipeout, Ridge Racer, Metal Gear and Lumines.

If so, what deal are you talking about?
Also, have there been any reviews for Untold Legends yet? That's the one game that I'm really looking forward to, and I just want to see if it's going to live up to my expectations or if I should just use the money for another game.
Thanks.

buy 2 PSP games, get a 10 dollar gift certificate
buy 3, get a 20 dollar gift certificate
There is a different offer online:
$75 and up - $10 Digital Coupon
$100 and up - $20 Digital Coupon
$150 and up - $30 Digital Coupon
This sounds like a better deal, but the digital coupons can only be used online, you have to pay for shipping, and the games for the PSP are mostly 39.99... even if you buy 3 of EA's 49.99 games, you'll STILL need to buy another one to get over the 150 threshold, since you'll be 3 cents below.
The only other sale I can remember this week is 10% off all PSP games at Compusa (I think), which is still not as good as the BB sale. Or you can try to abuse EBGames' trade in 3 games, get a PSP game free.

I drained my PSP playing WipeOut. It has been 3 days and many hours accumulated - I was just hoping I could get one more hour of game time before I hit the sheets. Oh well, there is always tomorrow.

I like the sound of that deal quite a bit.
There are only 3 games that I plan on getting tomorrow, so I may just run over to Best Buy and pick them up over there, assuming that their selection hasn't already been picked clean by early tomorrow afternoon, of course.
Thanks for the heads-up.

Blimey!
They're not horrible reviews, but my enthusiasm for this game has been weakend somewhat. I'll probably still get it, though.

I had my wife ask around at Wal-Mart while she was working tonight and she found out they are putting them out at midnight here.
I'm still very tempted about this but the cost of some of the Memory Sticks are brutal and kinda disappointing. I can see this being more of a portal video unit for me instead of a gaming system. I'm still not sure if I'm going to go get one but if I do I'm going to start saving for a 1 GB card real quick.
The game lineup is varied but Tiger Woods is the only one I want. The rest I would want to try out first.
