I get the impression this will convert into a Batwing at some point.

Frankly, I've been waiting for a black and gray batsuit for quite a while now. All black batsuits have been over done for quite some time if you ask me. I also like the small ears.

I know what you mean, although I do admit that I found the '89 suit to be very bat-cool when I first saw it in the theater.

Looks like a prototype. Reminds me of a spacecraft in a sci-fi flick than a Batmobile. Not feeling the vehicle yet.
The costume looks great.

I like the look of the new car. The new pics don't think do it justice. The wheels at the front look way out of place compared to the actual photo with Batman in it. That one gives a clearer idea of the car...and it does look cool.
I actually really liked the Tumbler from the Nolan movies. That being said i loved the car from the first three Batman movies of the 80s/90s. The car in Forever was very cool, but i think the original used in the first two Burton movies had the most sleek and cool design. I am curious to know how the new car would have looked with a fin on the back. Wonder if it would have worked or looked out of place?

IMO they have never done the Batmobile justice in any of the movies. The Burton era car was unnecessarily gaudy and looks quite dated now. The Tumbler, while utilitarian, was just plain stupid and uninspired in its design. This one, while a slight improvement to its predecessors, is also unnecessarily busy.
I just wish they'd go with something sleek and simple like this:

Nolan's batmobile was best because it was rugged and could go through streets of heavy war.
A finesse car for Batman wouldn't last in a very violent world.

I think from what we've seen the new Batmobile looks okay. It kind of seems like a mix between The Tumbler and the Burton Batmobile. Sort of like in the upcoming Arkham Knight game.

Agree with you on the Tumbler. I love that it was actually something that could drive without camera trickery like Burton's Batmobile, which could only drive slowly so they would have to speed up the footage. The Tumbler had real weight and a feel of power, while also seeming fast and a lot of fun to drive. Damn, that thing was just so cool.

Batman doesn't live in our world. He lives in a world where superheroes can exist and survive.

Neither would Batman, or the tumbler, for that matter. That's the major point of comic book superhero movies that Nolan didn't seem to get. Make them too grounded in "reality" and it makes it more difficult to suspend disbelief for the impossible superhero moments, plus it makes many of those moments seem more absurd and out of place.

I don't think anyone would argue that Nolan's Batman universe was "grounded in reality", but rather more realistic in comparison with what came before -- somewhat similar to Richard Donner's verisimilitude edict from the first Superman flick.

Only the detractor's of TDK use the claim that Nolan intended the film to be 100% realistic.

First image of Gal Gadot shooting. Looks like she really beefed up for the role and that training has done an amazing job in changing her physical appearance to resemble Wonder Woman. Riiiigggggghhhhhtttttttt.......
And so just as the first image of Batman and the Batmobile surface my hope for this movie goes up....now it goes back down. If there was a weak element in this movie (other than Laurence Fishburne who i believe to be one of the worst actors in movies these days....Network Zuckerberg i will cut a break as i am curious to see what he does with Luthor), it was certainly this actress.
